I have not done anything but chicken eggs. Some googling says 56% humidity for 18-21 days. You should definitely verify that with your own research. That low humidity will just require filling one of the 2 water troughs
It’s been a while but if I remember correctly the speaker has a screw on it where you push he wire through and screw it down. It wasn’t a problem on the bike.
I have a question for you, I am on Day 28 with hatching ducks, I think I need another day for the hatch, will the incubator automatically shut off at midnight or will it stay on until I turn it off? A speedy answer would be great!
@@Lous-Clues yeah for sure. They are 45 bucks on Amazon right now compared to 175 for the OEM. If you leave your TP mounted you will never see them anyway. And you can always put something on them to slow down the rusting, I just didn’t worry about it. The painted parts didn’t rust at all so it wasn’t even that bad. Heck, you can almost buy 4 off Amazon before just 1 OEM. So if it ever gets so bad it fails or you just don’t like the looks….buy a new one for 45 bucks and still come out ahead.
Yes was going to mention that. I had Kappas installed in my car with no amp and they were way quieter than my stock speakers. Once I got an amp installed they were so loud that I couldn’t turn the volume nob past 10% until my ears were hurting.
My humidity for chicken eggs is at 70 today. Can't get it down. Yesterday afternoon was at 47-55. Any help/info would be much appreciated. Stayed consistent normal range until yesterday. Days to hatch 15 at the moment. First time using this as we just purchased it not this last weekend, but weekend before last.
If it’s cool weather outside and raining, like say 50-60 and rainy outside then it will get higher. There’s really nothing you can do but open the vent. If you are desperate you can remove some water from the tray. Take a turkey baster and suck it out or something similar but not all of it because then you will have zero humidity. Doing this is very tricky because the humidity will fluctuate like crazy with just a little water taken out. So you really have to check it constantly. I’ve hatched with the humidity never going below mid 60’s the whole time.

@@comicalhomestead I've never been able to keep the perfect humidity. It usually runs high from 5-10%. A few times even more. You just do the best you can and work with what you have.

You adjust the humidity with the vent. And make sure just side A is filled with water. You can also adjust how much water you fill in there. For example if the vent is wide open and the humidity is still high then don’t add so much water. But you’ll want to monitor it more so it doesn’t run out of water.
@@user-pj6ri8ng4r What day is it? Day 1-18 or 18-21? Day 1-18 you can open the vent to adjust the humidity. If that doesn’t lower it you can try sucking some water out but be careful because that will quickly lower the humidity. Also make sure water is only in the A side. I’ve had a few hatches where I had to keep just barely any water in the A side during the first 18 days to keep the humidity in the correct range. If you are on day 18-21 then 72% is fine.
@@user-pj6ri8ng4r try it all the way open and see what humidity you get. You won’t believe how even just a tiny adjustment on it makes a difference, but it does. Nothing you can really do but open the valve and control how much water you put in there. I had a hatch that ran 65+ the entire time and they all turned out OK. 18 hatched I think.
Pick a different nesting material 😂 cat litter is harder to move and clean, straw works best can easily rake outside and let it decompose, your making it harder on yourself
It’s not cat liter and it’s not a nesting material. It’s Sweet PDZ. It’s on the poop boards. They roost above it. I don’t like straw as it holds mousture and packs/clumps together when wet. Premium pine shavings and pelltized bedding (like for horse stalls) is what I use for nesting. How many chickens do you have?
@@jbones2121 none at the moment but did have 30, looked like cat litter to me lol, straw seemed the best choice for me great for compost or if you have a big pen just rake it to one side the chickens will rummage through it because it attracts insects almost like half free ranging the chickens and it fertilizes the soil, lighter weight, can have multiple vents open at all times in summer then close them in winter have to have ventilation no matter what in my opinion, house heater vents work great can open and close them whenever you want, to each their own everyone does what works best for them, to me from the looks of your bucket weight changing cleaning the hen house looked like the problem, I said nesting material because you got it in the hen boxes to me anything in the spot where they lay eggs is nesting or bedding material and to me you want to material soak up the poops moisture and regularly change it, not trying to be rude at all to each their own
@@-__-Big.Cauc-Asian.-__- I didn’t read your comment in a rude manner. I’ve got 20. I’ve had as much as 27 I think. The bucket of poo was just from the poop boards. I guess if I composted straw might be a good option. I throw everything in the garden. Daily when I clean the poo boards and about twice a year when I do the entire coop top to bottom. The PDZ absorbs moisture and reduces the smell. It basically eliminates ammonia. I’ve got a cat litter scoop modified with some hardware cloth so I just go along and scoop the poo as if it is a litter box but the PDZ is much better and finer. You should get some chickens, it’s a good hobby…..

Honestly I can’t remember if it does. I haven’t encouraged that scenario yet. Once the power is back on you can check the days and temp by holding the menu button. Just adjust with the +/- buttons if you need to. I always write on the calendar or put it in my phone when I start and when the hatch is expected, just in case.
My wife just bought a 2023 Honda CMX Rebel 300, I love riding this little cruiser! I'm 68 and started riding when I was 11 years old. I've ridden bigger Japanese bikes and some Harley's, but this little bike is probably the easiest, most fun bike I've ever ridden. It's not fast, but for around town or a back highway trip, it's great.
@@jbones2121 I'm about 200lbs. I have an older VZ800 Suzuki and it's starting to show it's age. Been looking into a Rebel 500. But that little 300 doesn't do too bad from the looks of it.
@@451dskots88 it’s a fun little bike to scoot around town in. But the 500 I’m sure would be a much more fun little bike to scoot around town in. If I had to do over again I would have got the 500. The extra power is necessary IMO. Maybe if you’re an exclusive city rider the 300 would be fine. But I’m city/rural and the 300 is just barely enough on those 55mph roads.
It’s almost impossible to find the executive i like the lid comes with build in storage for the boveda packs and if I do it’s $450+ on the regular humidor where do you place the boveda packs, on that top shelf that comes in the box?
I had both the executive and the classic. I recently gave the classic away because I only used it to hold flavored cigars and I quit smoking the flavored sticks. But you are correct, I just lay the Boveda on top of the cigars in the humidor. It doesn’t hurt
Yes thank you. I need to check my pulleys, and clean my deck. Putting the deck on 2x4s is a great idea, because if you don't the tension on the deck makes the job unnecessarily difficult.
