'Heritage Live" is a project of Foundation for ARTS, CULTURE & EDUCATION, funded by Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund. It was a first-time residency program in Pakistan that focused on indigenous musicians and instruments. The program aimed to empower indigenous musicians through training and workshops based on Maestro-Apprentice relationship especially focusing on their audio-visual productions and social media marketing campaigns that would graduate them out of poverty. The program was a merge of diverse yet essential hands-on training, including manuals and tutorials of indigenous instruments, workshops on the music business, technological skills, and personality development syncing the musicians with the present-day music industry. The residency hosted maestros and their apprentices from different regions of Pakistan, brought together the experts of today and connected them to the indigenous artists.
