Inkerman Bks 505 Squad, three years HQ 2nd Inf Div Pro Coy, 6 Sect Wuppertal then 5 Sect Iserlohne, those three years prompted me to eventually make contact with army friends. with much sucsess I became founder of RMP Old Comrades Link-up.
Just arrived back home after staying at the Delfin , what a lovely hotel and would defo stay there again . The pool opens at 9 o clock and its funny to see all the people waiting in line ready to pounce on the sunbeds when if you go to floor 6 to the rooftop pool there is probably 1 or 2 max waiting for the door to be unlocked . Then you just stroll to any of about 20 ish sunbeds and relax and when i was there it was very chilled . So go to the rooftop pool if you dont want to queue .

Brilliant vid ! Recognised lots and one or two old haunts in Fally town centre. Was there in the '80's and staggered up that road into Fally more times than I can recall. Great times and never to be forgotten. I intend to go back next year and see what has changed. And thanks Ray, great stuff.
We spent millions of pounds on maintaining this station and then we left to occupy some shitty RAF stations in UK. Glad to see our German Comrades are keeping Fally in good nick! I am retired civi who supported the British Army in Germany and was very proud to do so.

I didn't recognise anything on this video. I was with the 8thRTR in Wessex barracks and the 4/7 RDG's were next to us They left for GB and that barracks was taken over by the 5thRTR.The regiments amalgamated on July 1st 1960. the 8th moved in with 5th and the 13th/18th Hussars took our barracks. I left Fallingbostel in September 1962.
Similar parade route to that on the Corps Centenary Parade , for that the pulled in NCO`s from every RMP company spread around the globe to form two marching contingents, only problem there were no officers and Major Whistler RMP Retired instructed the RSM to lead the parade with a drawn sword , the RSM protested that he could only march with a drawn sword when escorting Colours but Major Whistler told him to do it , the RSM was an ex Royal Marine Commando and got a perverse pleasure marching around the home of the British Army with a drawn sword.
It was 1970 when I was there home on leave from the Junior Leaders Regiment RE, My dad had just taken delivery of his brand new car, the roundabout that was on the way out of camp has now gone. One that roundabout a German in a merc smashed into my dads new car because he didn't know how to go round it. On that same roundabout was a little way up was a Gastatte that I took my 14 year old brother with me and we got drunk......I got in a lot of trouble that night.
@@brixmis7 were you in 3 squadron between 80/83,, and do you also remeber a jock know,,,he was the provo corporal for a while, and do you remember noz ball,,and a driver called baggy (bagwell) and maybe fraz (frazer) chris chambers

I don't think the British Army could turn out a parade as large as this now with all the cut backs 1994 to 2014 cutbacks cutbacks we need to get used to being the village of the global world where have we gone wrong
Quite fancy that cruise as we have done the Red Sea Magic one twice now on board the Celebration. Thanks for posting up this video as the views of the ship brought back so many good memories.
