Hardware Hawaii used to be in the middle of the shopping center (when I was a kid). Later they moved to that corner spot as you remember it (originally it was Stewart's Pharmacy). Tropics Bar, good one (forgot about that place). And yes, good ol' Puppy Palace for huli huli chicken, flame broiled burgers, hot dogs, and tasty french fries.
Shaa-aaa-zaaam ! The trees are so much larger. The buildings look smaller. Still a glorious hill back behind the school ! Nice to see Plumeria trees like that.
