Since our start in 1999, FrozenCPU has been focused on providing computer modifications that push the limits of what is thought possible. The industry has come along way from blow-holes and fan ducts; and FrozenCPU has been there every step of the way.
i have a question, ive ordered the same direct die plate, is lowering the actual screws enough for a air cooler or do i need to customize my air cooler for the height of the capacitors?
@@TOPVIRAL-m3r interesting. I'm about to get the Delidded die guard and use EK water block on it. I'm afraid the capacitors might be too tall as compared to the die.
Hi, i have brand new still in the box Fuma 2, SCFM-2000 model, previous model,,does it fit on AM5 boards and is it good enough for 7800x3d or should I buy other cooler? Thnx in advance!
@@best-player-in-the-world Around 3% faster? STOCK 7950X3D has 38500 (stock 14900ks has around 39000 but OK I will compare it to 40000) Now compare the prices 560 usd for ryzen and 690 for intel (in my country) - 19% cheaper
Nice video, quite helpful. Is that sleeving a special one so that when it melts it acts like a heat-shrink, contracting and stickting, or does all PET sleeving do that?
Hi , in my laptop i had my fan changed , probably a 4 pin fan to a 3 pin socket and so the fan runs ongoing.can cause this the 4 pin fan to the 3 pin motherboard?
I'm currently using the Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper 1260mm SuperNova Radiator (14351) With d5 pump hanging off the side of the radiator. With the Aquacomputer Cuplex Kryos NEXT VARIO With VISION AM4/3000/5000, Nickel/.925 Silver (21786) Waterblock it's cooling the delidded Amd 7950x with liquid metal and it has been a great improvement overall. Can keep it cool and quiet or really cool and loud if you want it to be lol.
Hot Knife works great. We just started using one to cut PET . We have to cover 5 lead wires of a wire harness. To feed the wire through the PET I found that a dispensing nozzle tip with a small tapered tip works good. I cut the nozzle down to 2 inches long. It just long enough so that the PET will slide over it without getting hung up at it's max diameter. Then just slide the lead wires into the larger opening of the nozzle tip. The tip is small enough to easily slide into the PET sleeving. Then just push the tip all the way through the PET until the wires come out too. I also cut my sleeving to the desired length prior to installing the wires. You could probably use the nozzle tip for your single leadwire. I still have to do the "Inchworm" technique. just cut it to length and diameter you need. This is the nozzle tip I used www.mcmaster.com/7579A33/
would love to see a performance test between Aqua Computer Airplex Radical 72mm thick radiator and the Alphacool Monsta 80mm radiator... I tried to find out what the fin density of the Airplex Radical is but it isn't listed anywhere sadly :-(
You could, having the tool be thin like a knife is key though. i'm sure you could make an iron work. The rope cutter does get semi red hot though. Not sure exact temp.
i bought it my issue that when i turn on my pc goes loud after 3 second quiet cause i change fan speed rpm in bios i dont know how to make it quiet from the first time when i put dc nothing change also i can conttrol them but can't trun of of all of them
So when you turn on your PC, you are always going to hear them speed up to full then slow down with PWM. Fans have what is called a start up current, and some can pull more than DOUBLE the current at start up before the pwm cycle kicks in. The reason this doesn't happen as much with DC is because if they are not turned up to full blast, they are not getting all 12v. The startup current is why it can be bad to split fan headers, because for a half a second you are pulling WAY more current and can burn a trace. In terms of the start up being loud at first, I don't think there is much you can do about that!
@@thefrozencpu i end up buy removing this header and plug all my 3 fans in motherboard except rear fans that work att full speed cause plug it directtly with psu
I had the pastel red with 0 problems, but now is 4 yrs old, so I think is time for a new one. What would you recommend? PETG tubing, the only problem that I had with pastel red was foaming because I use horizontal fuel pump with reservoir
I personally am not a fan hard rigid tubing. I find it to be more of a pain than its worth. Soft tubing takes 10 minutes to put together, and is so easy to work if you need to change stuff around, but thats all preference! PETG and acrylic are really just whichever you prefer. PETG is easier to bend but you can cut acrylic with a hack saw and chamfer it with a tool.
@@thefrozencpu yeah but I need to decide a new fluid, since they are not selling pastel anymore, I have the PETG tubing done already. I have a DK05 desk
@@thefrozencpu Does FrozenCPU sell premade cables for various PSUs like CableMod? I'm actually about to do a new AM5 build and am almost there with the parts list. My PSU is the EVGA 1300w Gold G2 Modular PSU. Seeing how good your sleeving technique is, I'd be interested in buying cables for it.
@@GSP-76 No we don't anymore. We used to and still have a few sets on sale for some older PSUs, but nothing modern sorry! Which cables were you looking to get done? Just the 24 pin and PCIe?
In every shop you found a warning ATTENTION: Due to the power of the pump, it may only be operated in a circuit with at least 1 cooler. When operating without load, the pump may burn out.
@@alkaAdeluxx I see the warning on aqua tuning. I've been working here for years and never seen that anywhere else. Running a pump in a reservoir back to its self to test out has never been an issue, I have left pumps sitting for days doing that on our display shelf many times to test different coolants and just for show. When you put the pump in a loop, you are actually causing it to work quite a bit harder and spin faster in some cases. Kind of odd. Probably just something to keep them out of trouble. Thanks for the info I'll keep that one in mind for the future.
welp, looks like we didn't get much traffic on this one! Please shoot me and Email max at frozencpu.com if you want the cooler so we can get you squared away!
@@Ironman-BB Unfortunately we are out of stock of this particular brand in black 1/8th inch, I do however have some from Bitspower that can be purchased here: www.frozencpu.com/products/13933/slv-209/Bitspower_Super_Tight_Weave_18_Cable_Sleeve_Deluxe_-_Black.html?id=HugBuu9r
@@thefrozencpu ok I have some white fiberglass sleeves so can you tell me which black color should I use to turn it permanently black and it's never fade again.
@@Ironman-BB Fiberglass is a little bit different. You cannot sleeve with it in the normal fashion because it does not expand or contract. All sleeving does fade a little over time, especially left in light but generally black is pretty good about it.
Love the RGB fans ,I have a 120 by 360 radiator in the top of my case that would look great with this type of fan . I'm about 120 miles East in Frankfort ,NY .Thanks for the opportunity !!
