Lol, I traded my range rover sport for this exact car in the same trim and color, couldnt be happier with it, i got sucked in the Cadillac brand driving my wifes 2020 escalade 👍
Update to my previous reply: after a year of use I ended up selling mine. Constant humidity and mould developing inside the car even when I unzipped it around 4 inches to let more air pass through. Nothing I did stopped moisture building up. Also a massive ballache getting the car in/out on your own. Ended up selling it and buying a drive in rigid car tent which never has any condensation in it and the car is always great when I go to it 🤷
I love my 23. I have the TR-6060 6 speed and it pulls hard in every gear. This car is so much fun to drive and the rev match makes the downshifts sound awesome. No lift shift and launch control standard. Definitely a true sleeper.
Thanks for the review Nick. I was all set on a car cover a month ago. Then guys on the MB forum mentioned condensation, paint damage at the roof line, and rodents underneath. This morning, I found the CarCapsule link from an old forum thread. I got all excited...until I read some of the comments. Apparently condensation is still a problem. Ughhh! I noted the pros and cons, and my intention is to only store it long-term over the winter, December, January, and February not as a daily "garage" use--that would drive me crazy I think. I would have another cover for the sun and rain that I can easily pull on and off. Has anyone else who purchased it noticed any moisture issues within the capsule? Thanks
@@PointShiftDrive Ok, I don't have one yet, but I am going to see if I can find any other reviews/comments on the topic. This has to work until I can build my garage. I can't have my next car exposed to the elements like my current. Thanks again for the review!
Im sure someone has tuned it. These cars are monsters out of the box. Not sure more power is what they need. But either way, a great platform to grow with.
The best car to learn on is someone else’s ;) 😆 Honestly it’s fine. The clutch is easy to operate and it shifts pretty directly. I think you can learn on a GRC no problem.
Fantastic cars. I have it’s predecessor the ATS-V which is like the “OG” Blackwing that did not get the attention it deserved. Actually the ATSV is a little faster as well. And these twin turbo cars with a tune are on a whole other level!! Mine runs low 11s in the 1/4 mile with tune only on 93 pump gas.
GM did a really nice job on these chassis and power trains. This is one of those cars I still want to own someday myself after testing because of how much I enjoyed it.
I’ve owned mine for over a year, I’ve put 4K miles on it! Your lucky to get 4K miles on any all new Toyota truck without its motor or transmission blowing up! The GM 4 turbo has been out in full size since 2019 pulling heavy trailers with no major problems 💪🏻🇺🇸💪🏻
LOL I don’t feel cramped whatsoever, try getting in a S10 Or old Ranger,,,,remember this is a midsize truck not a full-size,,,,lol cramped! My Trail Boss is not as wide as my 02 Silverado ive owned since new but it’s bigger thicker than a 02 full size
i don’t get it.. i‘m using mine as a daily car and enjoying it every single day.. You just have to be aware that you are driving a GT3. But that is exactly what you wanted... with all the advantages and disadvantages. If you are too soft, it is too hard. That is life, so don't complain.
I had one of the first deliveries for the 992 GT3. No one knew for sure how stiff it would be. Considering the last GT3 was more streetable, It wasn’t clear what the 992 would be. That being said, it’s not a daily driver. But it’s highly dependent on your roads.
Have had my gr for 2 months now and i agree with you on pretty much everything. Def loses a little power after 5k rpm but man does she love being in that 3-5k rpm. The gears take time to get used too and u do get that occasional annoying grind but honestly hasnt bothered me much. I highly recommend as this is one of the most satisfying canyon runner i have ever owned. And im comming from an audi tts
This car was one of the wackiest clutches, u get the best shift if u clutch in as ur already pushing the shifter skightly, it’s crazy timing edit: No offence, I can’t take anything u say seriaouly after saying the steering wheel has girth It’s legit the skinniest steering wheel in a car And the thickest is on an rcf my other car lol
Compared to other modern cars, the GRC does has a nice thick wheel. But don’t get me wrong, there are thicker wheels out there. Just sit in a BMW. I appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching.
Have a 23 S and a 24 T. One with PDK, the other has a manual. Two different cars. One is Touring and T, is when I want to DRIVE. Only drawback is after four hours on the road, the tire noise with the reduced sound insulation on the T starts to really be tiring .
Just got a 2024 Core. The screen settings have to be set, or you will lose them. If you set them properly, they permanently change. NO gear grinding to be found. There IS a slight problem with rev hang, though. I drove mine every day in 90 degree heat. No overheating. Never breaks a sweat. I can run it on the track or park it near the courthouse. It's my daily driver. [per the car's designer] The turbo blows at 25.5 psi max! (That's what a 911 Turbo blows, albeit with TWO turbos and many more cubes!) The middle exhaust tube has a gate that cracks open at 4450 rpm, reducing back pressure for the turbo and it feels like it was launched from a cannon! My colleague has a Cayenne. I used Expert Mode and dumped him on his ass!
I've had other 911's with the manual, and I still say PDK is the way to go. It's just a better transmission. And you can focus on the road or track and go even faster. Also 18 way seats are awful either go 4 way or full buckets.
Couple of weekends ago I was at the track with another Porsche enthusiast. He was in a turbo S. By the end of the day, do you know what he said to me? I love my PDK but I wish it was more involving like your manual. I think that’s the point. Anyone can have a preference whether it stick shift or PDK but at the end of the day, nothing is more involving than a manual.
Didn't you have a chance to drive one first? Perhaps Porsche experience or another owner? Tgats a lot of money to gamble its your best fit. Sounds like a gts would better suit your taste.
lol test drive? This was one of the first deliveries on the west coast. So no. I had 1 hour decide if I want the allocation. If you try and buy a high end Porsche, you will have a better appreciation for my gamble ;)
@PointShiftDrivsubscribed. Didn't realize no one in your club or at Porsche Experience had one. I drive a 2019 991.2 4 gts. I personally wouldn't take the gamble without a drive in a new model--especially at that price, but in your case given the market, it worked out well to say the least. Glad you're happy in your gts. I enjoy your vids and have sunscribed.
Thanks for showing exactly what goes into raising a car with QJ - man what a faff! That just a lot of back and forth and checking around and in the end you get just a few inches off the ground :(
Gorgeous car and beautifully optioned!!! For me, I'll stay with my 991.2 4 gts. Just prefer that generation for lots of reasons. Can't go wrong with any Porsche imho.
Truth at 9:54 I really think Porsche turned the exhaust and internal cabin noise to the driver rather than the public. My selfish to the driver, which, in the end, who is the experience really for? And totally agree that we want our cars to sound good to others as well. 😊
I think the T is about the driver. Sure you can upgrade the exhaust, tune, wheels and suspension if you want. But out of the box is amazing for like 99% of owners.
I will say your comparison review on the CS is the best ive seen!👍 However, I think there’s just too much missing from the CS for the premium price you gotta pay to get one. 👎 No center armrest No park assist cameras No rear A/C No adaptive cruise No sunroof option A cheaper priced Xdrive comp can be had with all those options the CS doesn’t have AND you can get the CS steering and CS transmission software upgrade added plus a tune and you’ve got a better optioned similar performing car for less money. CS is a collectors car, nothing more.
I appreciate the sentiment. I do agree that its one of those, "get more from less" situations. This is the car for M lovers that care more about performance than value.
Both great cars. And honestly kind of similar to drive. However the GTS always feels like there is more under your right foot. And you almost never use it. With the T it’s not the case. Also maybe it’s because the T trim is sold in lower numbers but it somehow feels a bit more rare. I Guess I’d say the GTS is a touring car where the T is a where you live car. Either choice is A+! But the T costs so much less, which I really appreciate
