Sewing Mastery is working to bring detailed video tutorials covering specific use of individual sewing machines. Who reads the owners manual? Now, you can find the instructions that you need in a short hands on video for exactly what you want to learn.
Thanks for this video, we are still learning the ropes so very useful :) We bought a Singer SE9185 and keep getting an error message "Attention please wait a moment and touch the ok when it is enabled" any ideas what this could be and when we click the tick it restarts and then loses its hoop position and embroidering in the wrong place. We can't see an option to re-reference the hoop when it stops.
Just put the needle adjustment to the middle position (the one with the three settings: left, middle right) and the stitch width to "0" (out of 6). The needle should be centered now. I somehow confused the stitch length with the width and always had a setting there, that was greater than "0". Not sure, what I was thinking.
I use your video to help thread my new machine. I am a beginner. I have the same machine as what you use in the video. My question is my stitch… it looks great on the top side but on the bottom side it looks as though the needle thread comes through and loops around the bottom making it look more like a straight line. Shouldn’t the stitch look the same on both sides? Thanks in advance for your help.
I have a problem with mine and it’s a very similar model. It’s called made the cut. The problem with mine is that my upper tensioner is not tightening even at the highest number. I tried taking the cover off and figuring out why and I can’t figure out which way the right metal disk is supposed to sit so that it’s pressing on the thread as it’s passing
hello. Thank you so much for all these videos I've just finished watching them, and my machine is arriving tomorrow, it now has the updated version available with the 4423, and 32 stitches with the 2024 machine. i cant wait to have a go with it tomorrow, thanks again for these videos they are brilliant. x
I just received mine after watching your videos! Soon after My excitement turned into a huge disappointment! I read many reviews complaining about tension issues and more! I thought it’s user error! But my oh my was I wrong! this machine is a junk! Coming from the quantum stylus I can see the difference despite having to pay double what I payed for my quantum it’s no comparison! This one worthless it only worked on tension zero! The thread cutter doesn’t cut the bobbin thread! Error messages keeps popping up! Checked and checked and everything I was doing correct changed the threads changed the bobbin checked the bobbin case lubricated it even changed the fabric! Nothing worked except tension zero and stitch length 2.5 even then the result was less than satisfactory Stay away from this machine!
Oh... so you have to HOLD DOWN the reverse stitch lever when reverse stitching!!! Never knew this. Both the manual (yes... I'm THAT old that I read the manuals that come with my purchases) and the Singer website fail to mention this. Thanks for that tiny bit of info in your video. Now I know my old 2932 machine is working properly. Great video otherwise.
Thank you, I've had this machine for years 🤣Just felt drawn to it yesterday after few prior (unsuccessful) attempts and I found your videos today! Officially starting my journey with sewing:)
