Go another 15 miles (or so) south on 19 to Service Creek. There's a mom and pop restaurant that was very hospitable to bikers during the china-virus era and made a stand against the OLCC. We stop there often.
I was just wondering; does the Mini Mate not have bubble levels pre-installed? That's something that as far as I know all other campers come with - usually 2 on the front corner.
Another great video Dave... Just Think'in... If I would have stayed living down there I'd probably have been out riding with you.... Enjoy my friend !!!
Once again great editing and a nice ride... An answer to your comment from your last video, my phone was not 5G capable so when I got my new phone I couldn't get Facebook to recognize my new phone so I just said ya hell with it... Always great to see your videos... Take care !!!
In the last 2 weeks, i have rode bend to umatilla and back, and bend to john day and back today. Its been some great weather. I should start filming all the riding i do.
After using the Mini Mate a few times things just sort of worked out. I have 2x6 at 12 inches long to support the wheels/tires that way the wheels are supported with out too much strain on the stabilizers. This unit really worked out better than I had expected. I hope to have an updated and higher quality video coming out later this year. Take care.
@westcoast01letsride , did you get my earlier message about chatting by phone. I hope to place my order tomorrow or Sat and was hoping to chat before I place my order.
@@westcoast01letsride When my family used to go on trips with our large coleman pop-up we always took a box full of wood plank pieces for leveling purposes. Would make a small ramp under a tire if needed, and all four jacks would always get a piece to help keep them from sinking into any soft ground. I dont own a trailer myself as I dont have the space to store one; but I still keep wood on hand in the crossover for incase I need traction while out tent camping.
You might get your bike under the awning but it would crowd the entry. I like it because it gives you a shady spot to sit, or a place to get out of the rain, and also it's a nice dry place to take off your shoes before going into the Mini Mate.
I have a 53 motoryacht in umatilla. Just waiting for the snow to melt in central oregon then im riding the wing over to the boat. 97 to biggs, then up the gorge. When the roads are cleaner, i like going up to fossil and hitting the gorge at arlington.
The dirt is white from ash from the mount mazama eruption. The thick forest in the start of the video is lodge pole pine (pinus contorta). It was created by fire. The cones are seratunus meaning they only open in extreme heat.
Enjoyed the video, my son & I drove from Ukiah to Heppner a few years back, looking forward to riding our KLR 650's on the Oregon coast.... We're planning a Dallas Tx. to Yosemite trip next summer via KLR'S.
I have an 01 wing and a kwick kamp trailer. I have driven this route many times. I used to live in john day, but now im in bend. Another good ride is to grab 395 out of ukiah and travel down the north fork of the john day river. You can either pull off at ritter junction and ride up the middle fork of the JD river to hwy 26 or head to long creek and go to john day, or head to kimberly. Both rides are great, and there are several state camp grounds along both routes.
Welcome, not your usual RU-vid type channel. Promoting motorcycle safety - getting people off the couch and outside - showing the really cool roads we have around here to help with route planning.
Wow...great video... Wish I would have known about that place when I lived there ... great job on the editing and putting the video together... Enjoy !!!
For people new to this - The cursor is so small and fast moving it make it disappear and cant be followed. Make the cursor a bright colour like red and move a bit slower on screen. Hope this help you. With Ubuntu you can make the icon bigger and a nice red. For Windows use Google there is a nice pointer solution.
