I thought that was actually quite a nice touch. Tough as it may be to be rejected, it's the ultimate showing of respect to have the news delivered in person 🙏
So disrespectful for them to criticise Warren for singing a Christian song. There are contemporary Christian songs and they were judging their voices not the song itself
I don't think it was disrespectful as such. It would have just been easier in that situation for them to judge him based on his ability to sing "current" songs rather than unique or niche songs.
Darius had a real Jesus complex back then. May God rest his soul 🙏 Suzanne was one of my earliest crushes as well, at 8 years old. My interest in blondes started early! 😅
Hi, weird request here. Do you have any video of the ad breaks. I was in an ident that was shown, pretty much, every night during this series but can't find it anywhere. I was a nerd in front of my computer talking to the comedian they had doing the ads
Oh yes, still got this VHS. Although, it's been in storage for years and may have eroded by now. The golden age of Big Brother. The format was just so radically new, anyone under perhaps the age of 30 will have been brought up in a world of reality TV and may not realise how groundbreaking and phenomenal this show was when it first hit the air. You don't see many things on TV which are truly a completely new thing, but this was it. Can't believe we're heading towards the 20th anniversary of BB1. Wow, where has that time gone?! If only Big Brother could make a comeback with a year zero reboot, we miss those good old shows of the early years. Just a complete back-to-basics overhaul, none of the nonsense whatsoever which eventually killed it. Sadly, I don't believe that will ever happen. It derailed many years ago and I don't think there's a way back now. Love how this VHS was one third dedicated to the story of just a single housemate. The whole Nick saga probably seems a bit silly and trivial to those who didn't witness it a the time, but let may assert the fact that this was huge when it happened. It's a standout moment in the history of British TV. This was pure drama. Two a penny nowadays, but it was utterly gripping at the time and responsible for giving the first series that major storyline which founded it's success.
