That’s a good question. I imagine you could bond it several different ways. Couldn’t hurt that’s for sure. I personally haven’t seen any of them bonded
very good video, I do fireplace repair and one thing I don't do is gas valve replacement in the wall, wish you were in So.Cal. also I highly doubt the heat caused the rubber seal to go bad. its probably they are just old and valve is usually always closed and its smashed down and just losses it rubberiness.
Seriously though. I had to reach an arm length in there, remove bolts blind with medium 1/4 sock set extension. Even used a magnet to retrieve dropped nut in oblivion at one point
It’s Mirmar landfill, it’s safer, before tractor 🚜 or worker comes. The reality is I do know know anyone who wanted them. They will be buried in the old landfill. Here in Southern California, it’s either recycled, or people put in garbage which lands in the hands of garbage brokers who ship our garbage over seas to essentially be scavenged or is buried locally…
yeah because work on a private residence is paid for with tax dollars…lmao this is what happens when you drop out of high school kids you end up posting videos like these
No, it’s a public works job. You can see they are digging out a hole and trying to access a pipe in the road. Yes it’s close to the sidewalk, but it’s not a private residence!
Look at the uniforms. It’s obvious. This is what happens when you comment on things you have no idea about, you mislead people to believe the truth is false
Lastly, remember this is comedy, but I am happy to see they are working safely with a lot of extra hands and eyeballs as it could be a gas pipe leak in a residential Neighborhood. Just remember the price reflects that additional precautions could be perceived as wasteful
Looks good! 2 Questions. 1) Why would you have a shut off valve inside the fireplace it self? I feel like it would melt if you had a wood fire. Plus for what purpose? 2) Why dope and tape? I don't believe that using both is recommended per IPC, just one or other.
@@ALLworldCONSTRUCTIONLLC What if you just have a fireplace with a wood log starter? Regardless I don't think there is any code requirement for this ridiculous, in-fireplace shutoff.
If it was converted into a wood fireplace, I would take out gas pipe leading into opening and cap off Gas pipe close to fireplace junction leg as possible. In this case, it would’ve been in the attic where it split off from the natural gas furnace.
@@ALLworldCONSTRUCTIONLLC So you have never seen gas log starters? It is a bar with holes, that sits under logs and gets natural gas fed to it so that other starting material does not need to be used. This is a normal thing that many houses have. I don't understand this level of paranoia.
Awesome work bro. You are highly capable. Comfortable sharing the bid? Watching you complete that job makes me way more confident to attempt one encased in brick Thanks for the video.
Thank you! Yea that’s why I made this because it’s a job people are not doing just saying screw it and they are terminating fireplace all together. Let’s just say it was a good days work;) if you email me I’ll let you know cost
I don’t know what gauge but it’s those 7 foot long cables that come inside a kit specifically for Gates. It comes with hardware and corner braces as well. Ace Hardware, local hardware, and the big box retailers all have them
If he used the right product, it works really well. I really like to do rapid set eisenwald STUCCO directly onto drywall prefilling and caulking/tape. it was very common for developers to put plaster directly on top of drywall on the inside of the house because the drywall wicks the moisture right out of the stucco, causing it to stick, cure faster and the mechanical bond to be great
So make sure you have fresh drywall on the ceiling or use it diluted priming Agent to advance adhesion without causing a seal between two substrates. Sometimes sealing is not better.
Just need a 20k evac, vacuum, and charge system next! I respect you for starting somewhere and fix the issue, making the final product in-differentiable to the others final product. In which case, you’re more useful and valuable to those around you
Should you be able to dim and turn the light on/off with the remote? My light goes bright and dim (two settings) either really bright or very dim. But the only way for the light to go completely off is by using the switch.
not how that works but if it helps you then you do you boo. fyi its power- thsvrsd one. signal- the yellow negative- the black one its sends signal being output aka vidio and audio if capibal back on the yellow to the recever and uses the black wire for the other half of the circut. i
I wonder the same thing too, like I was wondering for 20+ years why there was no small compact trucks made after the Toyota pick up 22RE, but finally ford made the Maverick, which is a huge market. But yeah, dual tanks would be smart for manufactures to continue to produce, but I’m not sure if that would help there ESG carbon credit crap the government wants them to do
