Cool! Ive been wanting to make an electric mini-vespa for awhile now. My other idea would be to use two VW beetle fenders seamed together and skirted, to enclose the entire scooter. Too many ideas, too many projects going at once..and not enough time and $ is my battle ha ha ha!
I use these. They were a massive improvement over the external mic provided with my Campark ACT 74 action camera. They work well on my Casio SK-1 keyboard too. I sometimes use a splitter so I can utilize both mics at once into a single input. Some kinds of the cheap little pocket sized inline headphone amps will give you bigtime mic boost with adjustable gain when plugged into the output of these mic's receivers, it's a suuuper touchy hot, loud signal. Yeah, like you said, I don't know how they can sell these for so cheap. They're so handy and work xlnt!
Knoptop do you think that "strap on" viewfinder eyepiece might fit over those cheapo action cameras? I'm using matte finish plastic cell phone screen protectors I've cut to fit my ultra low budget maomorex cams, and also on my Akaso and Campark, but sunlight glare still makes it hard to see the viewscreens alot when I'm shooting outdoors. Do you think that collapsible eyepiece viewscreen thingie would cover them? They're all 2.36 inches wide, all basically the same shape and size. If they do fit inside of that thing, then I wonder if you think a lil work with my Dremel tool might give me access to the "ok" (shutter) button on top, and the threaded tripod mount on the bottom of these cameras? Hmmm. If so, it would sure solve those glare problems...thanks in advance for any suggs or advice about this. Your vids have really started a bunch of new possibilities up with me, and there's like 3-4 classic cartoon light bulbs over my head right now! 🫡
Knoptop...I epoxied what I think is that same exact lens on my gen3 flipCam. What a huge difference it made. Is it the 2 piece macro wide angle? The macro on mine gives unbelievable detail, but it's hard to keep it focused. Check out my vid on here called "motho bizzarro" for some close ups of all kinds of weird moths that visited my old cabin in California...
Ok...now I'm really diggin your stuff coz I've owned 5 of those econoline pickups, 3 with V8 conversions. Funnest trucks to drive! Live dangerously, and their design means you're always 1st on the scene to the accident ha ha ha
I can think of some lens ideas for that digi cam. Lots of lens options and filters out there too. By the way, dig the Casio SK-1!!! I still have mine. Got it new right when they came out. Funnest budget keyboard everrr! I've used mine on a few recordings hooked up to various stompboxes, etc. It sounded HUGE connected to a ElectroHarmonix "voice box" on the vocoder setting...
That is COOL. I'm presently working on converting an early 1970's Mattel "tuff stuff" toy movie camera into a real working digital action camera. It's gonna be tricky to keep the original look and feel, while incorporating the necessary control surfaces of a modern 4k action camera...but I'm gonna do it! "Tuff stuff" series also made a toy chainsaw and a drill. But I think I'll stay away from converting those into modern, working, usable ones! The movie camera is alot less dangerous...
P.S. I found some clear plastic cell phone screen protectors and just cut 'em up to fit the screens on my micro cameras, and also on my A100 mini thumb cameras...another super cool mini camera! They look alot like the insta go 360, and have the same kind of display screen as these, but you can find them with different kinds of angled lenses, anywhere from 90 to 170 degree if I'm correct. They're around $25 to $30 on temu
I have this camera. The latest version. It displays "welcome" on boot up and "bye bye" on shut down, and the buttons feel better than the older version. I have that one too. I love your zoom lens hack! -I'm gonna do it to mine. Awhile back I got a 0.45x 200 clip on fisheye made for cell phones and used a piece of plastic tubing I cut to fit in place of the fake "lens" on the micro camera, so it just slips on tight and stays there. I get awesome undistorted fisheye effect, and capture TONS more in the viewable area of the screen and video footage and photos. After seeing your zoom lens short I'm off to get that zoom lens! Waaay into this kinda stuff! Keep up the great hacks, and thanks for sharing. Give the fisheye a try! I unfortunately don't have a link, but I'm sure you can find one since you already knew how to attach the zoom lens. -thanks again!
Fun. I went to a bunch of these and participated in the chaos. Just passed the 10 year mark since the first FliteFest -- probably my favorite of all of them I attended.
