I think the future of marvel is healthy . Im a melee player and even despite nintendo not really showing love and support the community is still there. Capcom has shown they cherish their old tittles. These games arent to be only played for 5-10 years...these are to be played for 30-40-50 years plus
Im new and looking just to play casually, but id like my team to be not entirely terrible. I want Ghost Rider for sure but ive seen from research he doesn't have the most extensive kit as far as combos go. Who would go good with him? Ideally id like spiderman, Doom, and Ghost Rider. But i also think Firebrand could replace spiderman and work well. Ive also seen that Felicia has some nice assist combos with Ghost rider. What do you think? Reply at your leisure and at the end of the day im a hyper casual so im not afraid to learn the hard way.
@@jabbathehutt2774 Ghost Rider / x / Doom would be decent! Nothing amazing, but GR does like Doom's support. Then mess with both Spidey or Felicia. Spiderman really likes Plasma support or Missiles for combos. Felicia really likes Plasma Beam too and there's some stuff if I recall right where you can command throw with her then hard tag to Doom for less scaled damage! Sounds like a fun trio!
I like to pretend im the one getting mixed when I watch fighting games. That iron fist x-factor throw gambit to shut down dark pheonix worked flawlessly against me too you're a legend sparty great games
@@gooniest lmao the one in game 2? Empty super xx XF to make them flinch, throw! Except I missed throw attempt 1, missed throw attempt 2 and nailed throw 3 🥲😂😂
I have been trying to get TK Raikousen after Sougenmu and often times I keep getting Super Jump, Fake-Out Divekick, or Ryuenjin. Idk what I should be looking for because even when I feel the input being done correctly, it just feels like the game does what it wants anyways. idk what to do.
@@fogblades6811 I'm not sure I get exactly where you're messing up, but the answer will be... Take it slower! For this version of the loop you don't really need the TK lightning. Are you trying a variation of the loop? After Sougenmu you jump buster, but the jump is quite high before you buster then lightning. Then it's jump lightning after that.
@@TheBlackSheepOfFashion this would be excellent. I had already planned to stream and discuss with Inclaa but could do it me, you and Inclaa, or just me and you?
Been watching Marvel 3 casually for over a decade and finally decided to give it a real go. I decided to play Nova since he always looked cool to me and various searches led me to this team. Very glad to find a long video covering it. Thank you for your work.
@@SmilePecoSmile that's so cool, glad this one helped you! Are you in the marvel discord? Good place to ask questions! (Easy to find if you Google it). Good luck out there!
Hey bud thanks for such a recent in depth tier list, I randomly just got this game mainly cuz I heard ratio tournaments are still sometimes held and I'm looking forward to cooking with some funky trios. 💪🏼 (With Hsien♥)
@@LordAlvaro888 frankly... Not great. Maybe just below good? Could make it work? Gonna struggle if you want to be competitive with that trio. Spiderman like Unibeam, Morrigan makes use of pretty much any assist well, but Missiles is by far (it's not even close) her best assist. Spidey doesn't really offer much support at all, so it's kinda like 2 points and an assist, playing Morrigan Unibeam and Spidey Unibeam. I'd focus on either making it a Morrigan team or a Spidey team and trade out one character to do it, but it depends on who you want to play more on your team. If you were to rank which characters you want to play most of those 1 to 3, what order would they be in? Also are you in the main UMvC3 discord?
so I want to ask a question, if you didn't have an S+ tier, would Doctor Doom be a high A-tier? or a low S-tier? Edit: I'm not playing him if he's at the top of A tier, or anywhere in S tier, if he's anywhere between those two spots, it's back to Iron man or Dante anchor
@@JAZtheGamer9000 if I didn't have an S+ tier I would have an extra tier at the bottom and the list would be the same 😂 I'm planning to make another list sometime soon so who knows what will happen with that. Anyway, most importantly don't pay too much attention to tier lists. If you like a character then enjoy them for their unique qualities, not what letter a community allocates to them 👍
@@SpartanThrone First off, I have the perfect name for the tier at the bottom: Hsien-Ko! Second off, I get it, I don't care that much about tier lists, I main Zato in strive for crying out loud, I couldn't care less how weak a character is! It's just that I saw Mothman's 2024 tier list and that one had Doom in Upper(?) tier so I just want to know if Doom is still top-tier.
@@JAZtheGamer9000 he's Def top tier. But his top tierness is his support strength. Then his solo damage and conversions and mixups being better than most, but not incredible.
So uh... One last team update (for real this time) Something about dropping Sentinel just didn't feel right, so I picked him back up... In place of Dante. so now I got my new main team of Cap/Task/Sentinel in the works. Messing around with the different shot types for Task's assists to find the best one for this set-up, but something about this comp just feels more like a me team than it did with Dante in the back. Don't think I'll pivit the main team, but I might put past characters I played in other teams for fun :) Thanks for the help you've provided! Maybe we'll get a new MvC with in the future Cyclops as part of the roster without mods
Hi Sparty! Keep up the good work! I am wondering if your opinion on this infinite has changed, remained the same, or a mixture of both after two years. Has there been any new development or discovery? Would love to hear about your views on this, but have a great one!
@@t-virus7098 I think I'm more convinced that it just isn't practical. The only player who has tried it is Lib, but he's not trying it anymore. When he was, he wasn't getting full reps. It's just so easy to drop. I don't think it's possible to do consistently, at events, especially as the pressure mounts getting closer to grand finals. Overall, I think it's a non-issue because people won't take the risk and don't have the extreme patience to do it. BUT IF THEY WOULD/DID... It would be broke as hell.
@@mannyluveztreez554 that's a winner! Mag/Dante is great, builds lots of bar, has several ways to get into TAC infinites, safe DHCs, team supers etc etc Add in Bolts to give Mag a horizontal assist and the team has a top 3 point with a top 2 vertical assist and a top 5 horizontal one. People are worried about Strange anchor enough to snap him in, but that's one more life/chance for you, you get Dante/Mag 2nd and 3rd which is great synergy and Mag is plenty capable on anchor. So it does work for sure, whether it's funny or not, it's strong!
@@mannyluveztreez554 no knows that! Every time we think the game is figured out someone develops a team further than anyone else has before and shows a new most effective way to play! Just gotta get into training with it and see what the neutral is like, see what conversions and combos you get with those assists, how the gameplan looks and then play play play. Gotta chuck a bunch of hours at it before you get a feel for what's right and wrong, that gives you better questions to ask yourself and others to learn more and keep developing.
When I first played these were my teams. 1. Dante/Task/Sentinel (If Dante was getting bodied I would put Task on point) 2. Task/Dante/Doom Nowadays I like the Dorm/Doom missiles combo, but dont know a simple point character. Magneto is too much for me.
@@xProxable dorm/doom missiles is lovely. For a char simpler than Mags... Zero might be an option. He's not simpler than Mags in terms of learning tricky things, but he's so good that even is basic tools can be easier to USE. Cap works well with both characters and assists. As does Taskmaster, he might be the simplest! Both of these are quite middle of the pack, not bad but not amazing, but do his that simple criteria well. Outside of those, maybe Vergil. Similar to Zero it's the strength of the character and his tools that make him simple to play. There's a learning curve, but not as much as with Zero.
I got the game just cuz of Wright, and I made him point, Frank middle and Doom in the back... I have no clue how to get the ball rolling or what assists to use
@@kerokerocola99 you've picked an interesting set of chars! First of all, you'd probably want Missile for PW, Shopping Cart for Frank and either Plasma Beam for Doom or Missiles. But I should explain that PW and Frank both need to be leveled up, and both generally want the team to be about them and them alone. So if possible I'd steer you away from playing both and instead focus on just one of them. Secondly, Doom is decent support for PW, but Frank doesn't really work tremendously well with Doom (plus Frank and PW have limited synergy together). So it's a team with a challenges! If that's not a problem for you and you're just interested in pressing buttons then go for it!
@@kerokerocola99 the best established team with PW & Doom is Aonien's team with Spencer/PW/Doom! Spencer uses Missile assist to get an unblockable reset, so any hit with Spencer kills. PW/Dante/Doom PW/Doom/Ammy PW/Doom/Strider PW/Doom/Vergil Those are very strong pairings for Doom that will help support PW also. You could play a lot of chars honestly depending on if you're going to try play/compete and get good (cause PW is already a weaker char). If you wanna run your team ideas by me, feel free.
@@FreeFallin396 yeah he stopped entering tournaments, stopped playing online and focused on his career. Not sure if he stopped the FGs to make time/energy for his career, or if he was just bored of FGs, but he moved away for a really good job and hasn't been to anything since.

Hi 👋, im trying to play the game seriously and am really enjoying x23 and trish but im unsure of what position they should be in and who my third character should be, so i've just been going in circles. My goals are to be good online and possibly even do online tournaments. I'm open to make sacrifices as long as I have good team synergy, think you could make a suggestion?
@@soy2878 I'd play something like Trish/Dante/X23 The game plan would be to play Trish like normal with Jam Session assist to back her up. At first you would want to learn standard BnBs, and try to kill like normal, occasionally using X23's unblockable if you find you have 3 bars and XF for their last character or maybe their 2nd if you're desperate. If you land a combo in a situation that takes them to the corner you could eventually learn Dante's TAC infinite, and that would allow you to then kill the next 2 characters with Dirt Nap, OTG xx XF then combo them to death before Dirt Napping the last character. You could also learn Trish's TAC infinite for when you have Dante or X23 on the field so you have more flexibility. It's not a perfect team by any means, typically you sacrifice a little bit when you play Trish, and sacrifice a bit more when you play X23. But it's viable if you are as good or better than your opponent and put in the time in training mode! That said, the closest good team would be team DMC in Trish/Vergil/Dante (or T/D/V). Check out some KBrad footage for this team he is the best Trish team player overall (even tho there are other Trish players who do great stuff with her) as he has the best team for her imo.
Would you mind making a “ready made teams” playlist?! I would be very appreciative. It would be very easy to just send the whole playlist to my non mvc friends to try to get them more comfortable to try ❤️

@@zam_likes_cats it's an excellent team capable of taking you as far as you need to go! That's "team NorCal". Not many stuck with it because they quit or they swapped to eg. Morrigan or Zero instead of Mags (the thinking being why play this top 5 char when I can play a top 2 char?) But it's a very strong team that has a ton of flexibility. It kills most chars off of most hits and has snaps or TAC infinites to deal with the highest health chars on scaled confirms.
How about some unusual teams for a change, like yours? Maybe Irongod’s team! Maybe Dapvip’s, Lythero’s or Iheartjustice’s? Great work, by the way! I love this series!
Thanks for the suggestion! My idea with this series is to cover successful tourney teams (ones with a history of doing well/winning big tourneys) and hopefully they're also SIMPLE/ACCESSIBLE for beginners to pick up... so those teams don't really fit the bill (except for mine maybe, but I don't really want to encourage new players to pick up Iron Fist in 2024 lmaoooo). I will eventually get through the most winning-est teams and move onto some more niche teams though, and if I do I'll have a think about ideas like this.

@@CheapCoffins Good question, and a hard one to answer. It really depends on where you are at gameplay wise right now and what your team is (basically, does it have real potential). 1. Prioritise the volume of games - get in as many sets as you can, the longer the better, and really ignore the score. You're not there to dominate, you're there to absorb information. Every time you lose to stuff, try different things to beat it or avoid it next game (experimentation is key). When you win, what was it that helped you be successful there that game? Go to training mode and work on both the things you're losing to and the things that helped you win. 2. Be sure you are killing in 3 or 4 touches per game. If you're regularly taking 5 or more hits to win a game you need to work on execution / gameplan / tech / routing or perhaps think is there a weakness to your team that prevents it killing in max 4 touches? 3. Mindset - always be looking to learn from everything, taking each game/set/day as a chance to improve.
