I have also been apart of an Audioquest cable demo at my local hifi store and I really did like the William Tell speaker cables. I can easily hear changes in cables on my Paradigm 7F’s & all my cables are upgraded to approx the William Tell level but of another brand.

It depends If you have a higher end high fidelity speaker system or a higher end Trinnov or StormAudio home theater system than I would highly recommend that you get Audioquest cables if you want less noise and less humming and hissing. I’m already in the process of changing my home theater cables out because I have to piece out the purchase orders and I can’t afford all of them at once. I get a little bit at a time

vs the Magical, there isn't anything magic . U are right about this speaker , too much cost for little to improve or better than many conventional speaker cabinets material. It's more important, I think the alignment, speaker/driver quality of manufacturing. Even material beryllium driver can have different quality. It's always an advantage for Focal which makes their own driver put the top spec to their speakers vs manufacture make put all the outside sources speaker & match them afterwards

I guess I'm feeling chatty today: ~10 min in you talked about Naughty Dogs and lack of new IPs and just doing remasters. I was wondering if you have any insights into the personnel changes at studios, specifically ND in this case, that might have caused the "creative" stagnation? The studios may still exist with the same names, but if the creative driving force behind those studios have left or pushed out, and their replacements just aren't the same caliber as the founders, it's going to be tough to replicate the "golden age" of that studio. My text book case would be Blizzard. The original Diablo was done by Blizzard North, and they left Blizzard long long time ago (maybe even before the Activision merger?) I think (don't quote me) they've became Grinding Gears which released Path of Exile.
@TruTechnoGamer
@TruTechnoGamer 18 дней назад
I don't have direct insights other than to say that yes, there has been a lot of personnel churn at many studios including Naughty Dog. However, the core leadership at ND is still there. I think the extended time to release for these games have more to do with ballooning cost due to increasing complexity and mismanagement of resources more than anything else. For example, you hear many disgruntled employees in the recent layoffs at Bungie and Bethesda focus much of their ire at the senior leadership and primarily blame them. Also, lack of direction and focus is definitely a factor. For example, ND cancelled The Last of Us Factions after years of work. Many of the team was saying that they didn't feel a live service GAAS game was not really in their DNA but they were driven by management to pursue it. There are stories like that across the industry at large

I'm only 1 min into the video, but had a suggestion for more gaming content. I'd be interested in something like "What I'm Playing Lately", maybe as a monthly update (but I won't hold you to that schedule, since it's a lot of work to put out a video and I'm sure you have a life, family, and work 😆) Not a review of the games since there are gaming review sites for that, but I'm just curious what you're playing currently. Why you're playing it with your limited gaming time, out of all the other available games, and what's good or bad about it. Anyway, I guess this is just a way for me to say I missed our gaming conversations and I missed hearing your take on games/series/franchises.
@TruTechnoGamer
@TruTechnoGamer 18 дней назад
Thanks for watching and commenting. I'll heed the suggestion although the pace that I game now will not warrant a monthly update 😀. I have a backlog that I'd like to tackle that is years back and probably 1500 hours of gaming. It might be another 2 years before I even catch up not to mention new games along the way. Right now, I'm mostly trying to finish Ghosts of Tsushima on PS5 which I never played the PS4 version (even though I purchased it day 1 for that system). I also still play Helldivers and SF6 for relatively quick fun online fixes. I've probably put 200+ hours in Helldivers and 300+ hours in SF6. Those are never ending. The problem is I'm not really excited for anything coming out this year. The other thing is that as a console gaming "enthusiast", I'm a prime target for the PS5 Pro and I'm holding from playing some games until that is out. Games like Black Myth, FFVII Rebirth, and Jedi Survivor I haven't progressed in as I'm waiting to experience it on the higher end hardware. Hopefully, it'll make it out this year!

Yes, you certainly have some wonderful equipment but what's more impressive is how you're going about getting the best use of them. Bravo Sad to see these so-called audiophiles enthusiasts skipping up on quality cabling. In my experience, when building a multi-channel setup false economy cabling will become even more apparent. Maybe not at first but once the novelty wears off that's when ones attention is likely drawn to the sound of the room! When making the jump from 2 channel to multi-channel, I almost immediately became aware how the room sounded slightly different! Didn't know what it was at first. However, coming from an audio black background there was no way I was prepared to put up with it. Even after auditioning 3 separate AVR's, the same ambient sound of the room was still present! That told me the extremely faint background signal noise I had been experiencing (poor description!) had nothing to do with the actual units. Therefore, my attention changed to the cables. And even then It was only on the third occasion after I finally purchased shielded cables that the noise floor within my small room finally came down to satisfactory levels. Unshielded cables often act as antennas for attracting RF, and the longer the cable, the better the antenna. Probably explains why when I used to disconnect my heights and surrounds within 10 minutes, the faint background signal noise (RF/EMI) within my small room used to disappear/dissipate. Trying to achieve a totally silent room sadly has turned into a bit of an obsession for me. Doesn't help when ones 2-channel stereo also entails an extra 7 channels that are externally amplified (5.2.4) The more cables I shield, the quieter my room becomes, and the better the shielding, the more the chance the cables are likely to disappear. If one has the same sensitivities and is looking to address this matter, but is also hoping to notice (hear) the incremental differences, I would suggest addressing the analogue cables of length first before moving on to digital and power cables. When friends or guests come over, I used to show them how loud the system goes. Now I prefer to press mute and show them how my quiet it goes. None of them gets it, of course 😂

@@TruTechnoGamer Question, is there a huge difference between playback of a HiFi Rose player vs an AV RECIEVER?
@TruTechnoGamer
@TruTechnoGamer 2 месяца назад
@@taseti4803 If you mean using your AV Receiver as a source for digital music, than yes the Hifi Rose is a world of difference in terms of quality. Again, the higher your system performs the more likely you are to hear the difference so again mileage may vary. But there isn't a receiver out there that can match the build quality and electronics for digital music streaming of the RS 130 IMO.

I've seen those videos. Audioholics have gone out of their way to displute all cable as having a measurable difference. I've even seen their speaker cable analysis which was pretty tough on Audioquest for example. That said, plenty of other accounts have said they do make a difference and I've actually heard several demos where it absolutely made a difference. It really just depends on your setup and equipment as mileage may vary. That's why I refuse to go too far and spend crazy money on the cables.
@totalplonker824
@totalplonker824 2 месяца назад
Yeah, that's coming from the same guy who states "cables don't make a difference" Sometimes it's better to tell the listeners what they want to hear rather than what they 'need' to hear. It's a tactic huge channels tend to use! Personally I would rather take advice from an avid two channel music listener then someone who's learnt their trade from sitting in front of a monitor.

Hiss can also come from having input sensitivity set too high in your processor. There should be a setting to turn it to a negative setting to deal with hiss. Also if you are running separates, the amplifier also plays a part. 3 rd, speaker sensitivity (high) will make hiss more audible compared to other brands/models and you can’t change that without getting a quitter amplifier.

These are mountable in the same way as the prime elevation speakers and there are a number of videos available of folks mounting those. The angling of the speaker is solely based on the position of the bracket both in terms of position on the wall/ceiling and rotation of the bracket. Technically the speaker itself doesn't move or adjust but with careful bracket installation, you can add rotation and some tilt if you want.

Ummm....no my neck is fine. My TV is really not that high and I've seen plenty of people with their TVs mounted much higher (over fireplaces or on huge walls). My theater seats (like most theater chairs including professional ones) have a slight incline when you're sitting all the way back so you're never really looking straight on. Add to that how the seats have an automatic recline function to go back even further which is how we usually watch movies and the TV is placed pretty perfectly for my setup. I would really only have about another 5-6 inches to lower it in order to clear the center channel speaker on top of my stand.
