Here it is ya'll. I promised to get this out before the end of the year and while I didn't quite hit that target, I now present my 6 month review of the Paradigm Persona 7F speakers (Persona C). These speakers have been my dream speakers for over 6 years and after owning them for 6 months now, I finally have enough time and experience to give an honest review of what's it like to live with them in my home. I'll discuss pros and cons, ranking their performance for music and home theater, and discuss managing my (and your) expectations. What's it like living with a world class ultra luxury speaker? Is there a dark side to the ultra high end? Come listen to all of this and more!

Congratulations for achieving this goal! I have three systems and two of them use Paradigms. One Founders set pushed with Luxman and another set pushed with a Hegel. The two systems have completely different sounds and it just demonstrates how neutral and revealing these speakers are.

Congrats on your Persona 7H's! I have a pair of Paradigm Tribute 30th Anniversary speakers that I bought 7 years ago for $4,800 and they sounded as good as several brands of $10,000 to $15,000 speakers I also auditioned. I still love my Tribute speakers! I recently listened to the new Magico S3 speakers and wow those are awesome sounding, it sounds so realistic and the soundstage is huge. Would love to have the new Magico's but they cost 10 times what I paid for my Paradigm speakers. The S3 is really night and day compared to my Paradigm speakers but I still enjoy what I have.

Thanks. The tributes were nice speakers! I've seen and heard them several times in the past. I've stated on this channel after hearing a bunch of Magico, I'm not really a fan of their sound. Just not my taste but they are well engineered speakers for sure.

I myself am quite partial to Canadian speakers.. congratulations on the new speakers ! 😊 I feel you ..it sucks you really want others to enjoy the performance as much as you do .. being an audiophile is kind of a solo adventure sometimes.. but you tube really brings us together.. it was nice listening to you share about your speakers.. it’s obvious how passionate you are about your set up and I enjoyed learning about speakers and your insights 😊

I had the chance to hear the persona 9h with my wife recently. We played a couple of tracks and we both were like these sound amazing..We heard that janet jackson time flies track and at the beginning i swear we heard the cymbals floating in the air..I never experienced that ever. The personas are definitely the speakers im eyeing in the future when i have the space

Great Job!!! You were100% correct. Peolple that are not into H/T or HighEnd Audio. Can in no way understand what they listen for to get more enjoyment

Yeah but it's frustrating though right? I mean, it should be obvious how a speaker costing 10x as much as another is better. Nobody struggles to understand how a $300,000 Porsche is better than a $30,000 KIa 🤔

It's a great feeling when you finally find a speaker that you appreciate and enjoy enough to keep the FOMO away. Knowing what small gains would be had or even what would be lost if you changed them out. Congrats!

Были у меня серия Studio 100v.5 . Прекрасная акустика . То как они играли рок , мало кому удается . Быстрый и мощный бас , натуральная середина и искристые высокие частоты . Из минусов: не глубокая сцена , не высокое разрешение в нижнем регистре , в басу не раскрывается красота обертонов, не хватает им утонченности. Надеюсь с этим у серии Persona полный порядок. Поздравляю вас с покупкой!

Sound is a personal thing. Maybe certain people aren’t aware, maybe certain people can’t appreciate detail, maybe they don’t care enough or maybe it’s simply the difference in the shape of their ears. One thing is for certain though, when you get it you get it. Too many people bad mouth Paradigm and I suspect those same people are the ones bad mouthing B&W speakers. You can rest assured they don’t own either. The look of these are gorgeous. The sound is amazing and so crisp and clean that you don’t want to stop listening. You made a good choice and obviously you can appreciate them. Thank you for the in depth review through your eyes and ears. I agree with you.

Fantastic transparency, excellent dynamic punch. World Class build quality and the uniqueness of having both midrange driver and tweeter being beryllium declare to the world that you made the right choice. I've audition the entire Persona line more than once, and also the entire Perlisten S line. My conclusion is that the Perlisten S line are world class Home theater speakers, but only good hi-fi speakers. The Persona 5F and 7F are both world class HT and high end HiFi speakers. The far better choice for those who are seeking fantastic speakers for both music and HT is indeed the Personas. Congrats, and enjoy!

My point exactly. There are other speakers that do either music or HT slightly better but none that I feel can do both as well as the Personas 🙂

persona speakers are extremely flexible in the sense that they are amp dependent - if you want less forward and or bright presentation that that could be done through an amp change. you really can tune them to your preference while still maintaining their positive characteristics

Part of the reason I got the JC-5 was due to it's "warm" signature and having been consider a great match for the Persona Series. I love the JC-5 and like I said I was able to reduce to brightness to my liking with some tweaking.

What a great video I have always wanted to upgrade my ht with paradigm speakers . But haven’t been able to yet one day .. I live in Canada and I love that these speakers are made here ..those persona speakers u have look amazing are u going to update the rest of your speakers with paradigm.?? And what streamer are u using ..? Thanks for sharing..

Thank you. The rest of my 7.1 bed of speakers are all Paradigm. 4x Paradigm 25s surrounds as well. Streamer is a Node just for transport for now. Please check out my HT Tour vids for the full scoop. 😀

I've listened to these speakers at local dealer quite a few times. They are very nice but not my cup of tea. Not a fan of automotive paint on speakers. Watched detailed videos of how they are made. Build quality good but crossover network very cheap. I'm that rare audiofile who listens to heavy metal. Bass is very weak for my music. My Legacy Focus are miles better. No replacement for displacement. My Focus speakers have 3 12inch woofers and bass is way deeper and faster. These speakers are pretty but not worth the money. Great review tho and glad they work for you.

Hi body !! You have a beautifull hi-ends systems. You have the same SVS subwoofer of me. Slowly, i look for Paradigm 7F with center channell too. I have Bryston Model T with center channel too. I love song but after 8 years, i ready for game changer. The reason: Beryllium tweeter and midrange driver !!! QUESTION: I need to know your right feeling about the deep bass of the Persona 7F alone (without SVS) ???

Thanks for watching and for the comment. I think I addressed the bass in the video at length with and without the SVS sub (starting at 18:20). In short, bass is such that you absolutely don't need a sub for music. In fact, A/B my system with the subs ON/OFF, I can't even tell the difference with most tracks at moderate volumes.

How do you connect your bluesound node to your avm90..through a digital coax cable? I want to use my avm90 dac inside but trying to see whats the best way to get the best sound. Thx

Yes I just use digital coax. I was using optical previously but couldn't get the full 24/192 resolution from streams. Coax has more bandwidth

I did a video on my channel where I did a shootout on $15K speakers (check it out if you haven't already). In there, I discuss my impressions from a direct comparison between Persona 5f and Sopra 2. I heard the Kef Reference 5 on a separate occasion and thought they sounded good. Short story, Sopra is a bit more balanced than the Persona and the Persona has more low end and upper detail than the Kef IMO.

I'm sorry to say but you only say this because YOU own them. They are not in the same caliber as other speakers in the same price range. If you love them, great! God bless you but they are not comparable to many others as far as bass response and speed, tweeter miss represents detail for pure harshness. The cabinet finish is second class to speakers like Rockport and even mass produced products like B&W... Wilson finishes. There is a reason they have the reputation they have and the 50% drop in second hand speaker values goes to show also...

Everyone has their opinion. Note that I've been saying that the Personas were my pick LONG before I owned them. I spent years listening to nearly everything out there to find the best option for me (well documented on the channel). Nothing I've said comes from a place of ignorance as I've listened to 100s of systems over the past 5 years for points of comparison. The Personas are up there with the best of them in their price range for sure. I've pointed out that there are plenty of speakers that do more, but you have to pay a pretty premium to get there. The "poor" reputation they have is mostly from folks who have never owned them or spent significant time with them. 50% of their value...? Not sure what you are referring to but the Personas are over 7 years old and about to be replaced soon. Yet as I type there are plenty of Personas on used markets that are selling for 60-75% of their value still.

Wow this is a crazy take that I've never heard before. Your claim about rapid depreciation is demonstrably false. I've literally never heard anyone fault the cabinet finish on any Paradigm model. You got a 3rd-party source for your claim? EDIT: So I just searched for the most rapidly depreciating hi-fi speakers and I see Sonus Faber, Magico, Warfedale, Klipsch, and a lot of others but I do not see Paradigm. So, I think you made that story up.

Total crock of Sh*t. I canceled my 801D4 order over the Persona 9H mainly because the bass absolutely killed them! It's not even close. They are also gorgeous with an insane fit and finish. Wilson speakers are absolutely hideous, they sound good but yikes....This is obviously a troll or someone who sells other crap in hifi. Persona's are very hard to beat for a reasonably cost. I'd say the Persona 9H's have very little competition under 100k. @trutechnogamer don't listen to this guy, he is full of it.
