My son had this done when he was 3 years old to close his moderate-sized ASD and resolved his very low blood oxygen levels. He is now 13 and has never had any problems with it. I have managed to go through the treatment and the after affects and discomfort and operations very well and very bravely, far better than most people could, so far. Had TdP last month, fortunately it happened when I was already in the ER (I was having pulpitations already) and they were able to immediately treat with magnesium. I've had a prolonged qt interval ever since I was treated for nausea with droperidol. I only had one dose but I suffered terrible side effects and now I have this. It's really awful and scary.
