If you break the clip on the right, then place the screw on the left. That's what happened in my case, and it totally worked. All the best, and thanks for the comment!

I am getting ready to purchase this unit but am confused on the get the 4GB or the 6GB. The 4 GB is actually $20 more so I was confused thinking maybe the 4 GB has more options on it than the 6 GB wondering if someone could help answer this question that purchased one of these already researching their choice

PAMELA! Thanks for the comment. SAN ANTONIO is the place and I love that my neighbor volunteered to help me out with this. It's really not that difficult, but it was a BIG help having my neighbor offering a helping hand. You're great to be THAT neighbor BTW. Sometimes, we can all use a helping hand. Hmmm...not really sure unless you add something to attach the lights to. The need to point down in order to get the correct effect. All the best to you!
Hello! I installed it to 2014 ford escape and connected all the cables but I couldn't get the screen to power on - it stays off and looks like there is no sign of power going through Do you have any idea why? :(
Nice video....How were you able to configure the steering wheel buttons on that Ford Escape?...I installed an identical one but I have not been able to configure that option...can you help me?
Make sure all of the connections are made through the dash. If you have everything properly connected, the steering wheel controllers should work without a problem.
Adding that to the back creates a gap between the cabinet and the wall. I Would put the angled pieces of wood set inside flush against the back and between the back side panels instead. And the long piece flush up against the back so.
Quetions: 1) Is this an actual INSERT or just a normal electric fireplace? 2) Did you consider getting the electric logs to just set inside your existing firebox? (I have an antique mantel surround that is attached to my wall - its just decoration really. I'd like to add an electric fireplace to it. So am wondering if i have to get an actual INSERT OR if i can just use an electric fireplace??? I realize we'll have to attach it one way or the other)
Yes, I did consider just putting electric logs into the fireplace opening, but I wanted more of a contemporary, clean line and went with this insert instead. I had installed one in my previous house and I liked how it looks. By the way, I did get the electric logs for a friend of mine, and it was super easy to install for her. You just place it in, and plug in to power it up. Good luck with your decision!
Good video, I have that same radio but I have problems when I make or receive a call from my cell phone, connected to the radio through Bluetooth, the person calling me tells me that it sounds very soft and with an echo... I put the external microphone on it and anyway the same thing happens...do you have any idea what happens?...thank you
Do you know if the sync module still needs to be working for this to work? I my 2015 escape the Bluetooth no longer works, only the radio works. Did you also use the camera that the unit comes with or did the OEM camera work for you?
If your water pressure is high enough you can use a splitter and connect multiples together. If there is not enough pressure, however, the sprinkler will not move. I hope this helps.
Wow! This video saved me over $1000 (what Ford, in Canada, quoted me to replace my 2013 Escape backup camera that worked intermittently for a few years and mostly gave me the ‘contact dealership’ message.) This was a BRILLIANT and easy fix and now I have a brand new camera for under $75 (Canadian) and a small innocuous screw (which I still have to.make black….but even that isn’t necessary) in the bracket in case a replacement is ever needed again. Thanks so much for posting this and I’m happy to help anyone through the repair as well since I just did it today. :)

I believe that it will, but I had to replace my camera due to working issues. If your factory camera is faulty, I would not expect that this unit will correct any problems.
HI, I am in the uk and have a 2015 Kuga i have just done a test fitting of the same unit, did you connect the key wires the position 1 and 2, so you can still switch the unit on when the car is switched off, thanks for putting the video on it's as a masive help Regards Kev
Did you replace the camera because there was an issue with the original camera? If so, what was that reason. My original camera would only work randomly, so I decided to change it. When it did not work, there was either "fuzz" on the screen or the image was upside down (very common). When I made the change, there were no issues at all. Actually, the image seemed more clear than ever. If you are getting this message, I would not bother with the dealership. Instead, I would see if you could get a replacement camera from the seller. Communicate with them that the item you received was faulty. The reason I say not to contact the dealership is because they will be happy to charge you a TON of money and make absurd recommendations. I installed it in a 2013 Ford Escape, works perfectly. 7mm socket, T25s. Reposition the wiring harness first referring to where the screen slots in. I placed it next to the right air vent, maneuvering it in the back around the plastic piece containing the old radio. I did the 6gb of ram model, seems to be a bit faster than shown.
Does the 4 GB unit have more options than the 6 GB bit confused because the 6GB is actually cheaper on Amazon than the 4GB. I’m a single mom getting ready to purchase this unit so just looking for some advice on which one’s better to get
@@JoanneRuane I would buy the 6gb model. There is no difference in features as far as I can tell. The back has the same number of ports and stuff as in the video, its just offset differently. There is only one way each cord can go in though, so you shouldn't have any issues.
@@mauryoung it’s just another option on the link in his description. If it doesn’t show up, I’d assume they’ll probably show up again soon! 4gb ram models are plenty though. I just opted for 6 just because it’s a little quicker.
Hey, thanks for the video. I will consult this when the display arrives in the next few days. But I still have a question... the Kuga has a built-in microphone for making phone calls. Can I just plug it in or do I have to use the microphone that comes with it? If I can use the existing one, where do I have to connect it? Thanks in advance
No problem. I am not completely sure about how the microphone connections work and if one will override the other. Just to make sure, I connected the mic that came with the unit. Let me know how it works out for you, and best of luck!
java ferns need a lot of nutrients, these will turn brown quickly and start producing baby ferns that wont grow much in these conditions and the adult plant will slowly die. you need liquid fertilizer but in a tank this small without aquasoil to absorb some of it you will just get algae.
Thanks so much for your input. I've learned already, and have transferred the java ferns out to my outdoor pond. I also think that my fish was tearing his fins on the edges of the plant. Algea is another fight I believe I am going to have to battle. SO much to consider, and thanks again for your comments. Much appreciated!
@mattsworlddiy, thanks for the video. Very informative. One question: did you disconnect your battery to ensure the power was all the way off? That seems like the right move to me but I'm not sure.
Excellent question Ben. Yes, to avoid shock or blowing any fuses, it is a very good idea to disconnect the battery before getting started with this project. Thanks for the comment as I would recommend the disconnection. Prior to installation!
I use my iphone and a Sony ZV-1F vlogging camera. I used to edit on iMovie by changed over to CapCut about a year ago. I also use wireless mics that I can connect to either my iphone or the Sony to help with audio. Thanks for the comment, and I hope my info helps. Great work on your channel as well.
