i have an interesting semi solo cruise story, my now ex husband and i took a 4 day mexico riviera cruise for our honeymoon, while we spent time together it seemed he ended up spending a majority of the time in the cabin and i ended up exploring the ship pretty much solo for 3 of the 4 days i was a bit bummed as it was our honeymoon but i did enjoy my time none the less and it pushed me to do my next cruise in 95 days as a solo cruise
On ncl if you order a bottle to be sent to your room they charge twice the price, i am go ncl January, i bought a bottle of vo and cost 150 with no Oj, grapefruits j, nothing
I bought a Canon printer for $50 from Walmart years ago and it still works. It's also a scanner. I can scan documents and photos into my computer with it. Works perfectly.
You needed to do more research. Never cruise without a bottle of "Wrinkle Release". And research all the dining options and dress requirements. Just a thought!
Nice cabin! Crazy that the picture rattling was that bad though. I was thinking you’d have to stuff towels behind or tear it off the wall, so I guess I also would not have though of going to guest services! Good to know.
as a younger person age 12 do you have any advice for meeting people? I'm going on my cruise during the school year so I'm expecting there to not be a lot of people my age to talk to and hang out with but y'know I could be wrong.
Cruises usually do a good job at getting the kids together who are of similar age. I’ve found that they try to keep the kids all together and the adults all together. There will be plenty of activities on the ship where most of the kids will naturally gather. My advice to you: Be confident, smile, and look people in their eyes when you talk to them or when they talk to you. Ask questions about where they’re from and/or what they have planned during the cruise. If they’re nice, they’ll ask you similar questions! Not everyone will love you or be receptive to your personality, and that’s ok. You’re not going to connect with everyone..there are like 7 billion people in this world, with so many different personalities. Enjoy your trip..there should at least be a handful of kids you can hang out with/talk to/eat with. I hope you have fun!
Carnivals CHEERS also allows for unlimited non-alcoholic drinks like milkshakes, coffee from the Java Blue Cafe, Monster energy and red bull. These do not go toward the 15 drink limit. So, If you get 1 specialty Coffee, 1 milkshake, and 3 frozen cocktails a day on average, you'll hit break even. every other drink of any kind would now be essentialy "free". If you're going to have at least 5 drinks of any kind a day, buy it.
Good video brother!! Every cruise my wife and I go on we always think and think about the drink package …is it worth it ???? We wind up getting it and we look back and are glad we got it. We’re not heavy drinkers NEVER get close to the limit but where we make it up is with the coffee waters and other drinks !! Again enjoyed the video your well spoken looking forward to some more videos 👍👍👍
Cool! I didn't think you would do the casino on a ship! Love the wine tasting. Would love to do that. LOVE the pic! Yes, I understand that about the demographics, but I'm still interested in sailing too! Interesting roll call! LOL So glad you did this and sharing your experience!
Whoa! That was a big jump from Carnival to Holland America! I want to try Holland so I want to see how you liked it! They seem to be strict with rules to start off. Give me a heads up the next time you sail from FLL or MIA!
My niece and I will be on this ship in October. I’m very much looking forward to relaxing. My daughter was worried about the age demographics. I’m in my mid 50s, and my niece is in her early 40s. Neither one of us are shy, and we both love talking to new people. I don’t know if I could do a 365 day cruise, I would miss my bed and pillow. 🤣🤣
It was great to see another cruise line, and I’ve wondered about Holland America. So glad it looks like you had a good time! Good comedy, good music, good food… would do it for me!!
I’ve heard stories about folks living on cruise ships, but this is a super close second. I mean..why not? It’s a convenient way to see the world at probably the most reasonable price!
I just got off the Carnival Liberty yesterday and I got the bubbles package for myself and 3 kids. It wasn’t worth bc they didn’t have drink machines. You have to go to the bar so my kids got ignored half the time so I had to get their drinks and carry back 4 cups to the table. Not only that but we ended to drinking lemonade most of the time. The cocktails were weak yet my cousin felt like she needed to get her moneys worth and was vomiting all over the Bahamas 🤦🏽♀️. I felt like when we actually used the soda package we only got Pepsi and starry and drank maybe 3 sodas max per day. Also they tax $0.21 on port Canaveral per drink on embarkation and disembarkation day.
I went on a few without the drink package and also regretted it. I was drinking the cheapest beers and sometimes would get a bucket to get a little better of a deal but still ended up spending close to or more than the package would have cost. Now I always get the package and enjoy better drinks and water included. At 60 per day it only takes six $10 drinks to break even not including the other non alcoholic drinks incuded in the package.
I was on Liberty in November 22. The one with the watches at the beginning of the video, I played once. I am very good at claw machines. I rarely lose. There was a young mother with a little boy trying their hardest to get a watch for the little boy. They had to have been trying for about 20 minutes. I walked over and asked if I could have a try. I went straight for the watch they had been trying to get. I got it first try. The mother was very shocked and asked how I was able to do it that easily. I said I just have had a lot of practice and then handed the watch to the little boy and told them to have a good evening. I forgot all about that until I saw the claw machine. It made me feel so good to hear his excited little “thank you” ❤
Yay! Looking forward to new season of cruise vids! Interesting to see differences in HA and Carnival…. Look at you winning stuff… and what? No prizes for guessing, just a hearty handshake?! Tsk. Lol. Trip sounds fun!!
this is one reason why i cruise, i went to key west years ago on a cruise and fell in love with it but only had a few hours there, so i had to fly in for 7 days and it was the best. Thanks to cruising
i have been to Cozumel a total of 13 times and counting, but never have i ever had the desire to visit Mr. Sanchos. I find that Cozumel offers so much more for me. My favorite Island and this is the best Cozumel street video i have seen
This was one of the most helpful videos about solo cruising I've found on this channel. Thank you so much for this! I just booked my first solo cruise to Iceland/Norway for summer of 2024. I'm excited but nervous!
