No issues for us. Recommend getting the swivel seats made for this, much easier to get out of the way when needed than a traditional blind chair. Also recommend a shower caddy to hang inside on the bar to hold items like binos, drink, anything else you make want handy.

First off, great video. I'm interested in the buck hut, but am concerned about the 4' width. Seems pretty narrow to bow hunt from (e.g. drawing bow). I'm curious if you bow hunted from it, and if so was that an issue. Thanks.

In my area of PA since putting them out the most snow they have seen has been about 6 inches and they were fine. I take them down after season ends so they aren’t out through our heaviest snow season. As for heat they block the wind and hold heat well, and we even have small buddy heaters if needed on super cold days.

I have to say this about Spypoint, if you get them working, dont move them, turn them off, anything. If you shut them off, move them etc, you risk them never connecting again! We have 17 of them. Both micro and CT models. The good thing is, Spypoint will replace them at no cost, but they have ALOT of work to do on their cell cams technology. Vast majority of people are telling me to go with Tactacam. I have 5 new Spypoint Flex on the way. See how these perform. Any issues and I'm selling them all and switching. I could be tech support for these things, I've seen it all with these cams. If u get it working, leave it alone! Lol

I have a micro lte with an 8 foot antenna hooked onto it.. it is getting 40% signal. I put my flex on the same tree, below the lte, no extra antenna and it is getting 50% signal.

So with the spypoint, you lose all pics if it stops working? Was there a way to save them offline in case that happened. Also regarding shutter speed, does it take a pic everytime there is movement? (Curious if you know max number of pics per minute that it would take) Or are you able to set the speed.
@millertime2612
@millertime2612 Год назад
I have not used any Spypoint recently and do not recall specific settings or specs, you would have to refer to their information/manuals. As for saving them the only thing I am aware you could do is to manually download each image (or any you want to save outside the app) to your camera roll.

@@millertime2612 Hello. I know this is last years video but I was wondering if you would please help. So I have unsavory neighbors and my Night Owl cameras are unreliable. Somehow, someway, my cameras get disabled. Everything is up to date as far as Firmware. Ive changed my internet password at least 20 times and its extremely frustrating to say the least. I was told by a neighbor that our one neighbor hacked my cameras. How, I havent a clue but I believe it because my cameras work sporadically. My question is this. Which game cams will record with the furthest IR distance? I kind of want to get something with an invisible flash so as not to alert these neighbors. I would like to get a camera that has the furthest distance of motion sensing detection for recording and also the brightest visibility that a game cam would give. Can you please make some recommendations? I know nothing about game cams and could really use the guidance. Thanks so much. Great video! Subscribed!

@millertime2612 2 года назад
We like the 360 seats. We bought 2 of them and 2 hawk chairs to start, put one of each in our two buck huts. Hawk is a little bigger, sit a little higher, and has arm rests. The 360s are comfortable too. We just got 2 more of the 360 chairs, and will have them in each buck hut. Biggest thing why we chose these is for archery hunting. The 360 fold up easy and swivel back out of the way for standing shots when needed. The hawks don’t fold down easily and are bulky to work with.

I would not recommend it from personal experience. I work for a Millennium dealer and we also recommend not doing this through the winter once your season ends. Nothing says you can’t leave it out but for overall lifespan and precaution you should take the canvas off following the seasons end until just before the next fall season.

Biggest thing for any cell cam, doesn’t matter what brand, is that your area has cell service. If you don’t have any service it’s pointless to have a cell cam that won’t send photos. After that I would recommend any of the Reveal models. Since the video was made I’ve gotten more Reveals and super pleased with them. The SpyPoints are still running but just not as impressed with their signal strength and quality.

GREAT tower blind for the price ($799 at Scheels) I made the blind even better by 1- replacing the 50 window, door and enclosure zipper pulls with black T zipper pulls (for arthritis sufferers) sold on Amazon (much quieter). 2- cut foot long sections of pipe insulation and zip tied them to the crossmembers in the window openings to shoot off of (added a long one above the doorway after hitting my head). 3- hung a black plastic shower caddy inside to keep drinks, scent sprays, calls, binoculars handy. 4- screwed in a 3 foot earth anchor and attached a cable from each end to ensure wind doesn't tip the tower (comes with four 3 foot rebar stakes, but I wanted to be certain it stays up). 5- zip tied a couple hooks off of old ratchet scraps to the upper crossmembers to hang backpack, rangefinder, quiver. 6- transmission funnel and hose ran down to the ground for nature call. I'll probably add a truck bed mat cut to the floor size. I've hunted out of Muddy, Shadow Hunter and a Redneck tower blinds and this Buck Hut does everything they do for 1/4 the price.
