The U149 anime really got me back into iM@S and the most i've been into it! I wouldn't hesitate to call U149 one of my top 5 favourite anime. Caught up with the manga and started reading, watching and playing other iM@S media I've missed through the years because of how much I enjoyed it. Really fun watching this video and learning a lot of new details I missed and didn't know of!
kyowno puts a lot of passion and respect to this piece of cingals timeline.. the best versions of idols reside there (see momoka, risa for example) will wait for the next english fan TL releases as i already caught up with indonesian TL on mangadex up till summer live arc + still following latest arc (being the drama arc) on cycomi. english TL releases are very slow, currently in summer live pt.2/ch.102 as of this writing; i remember the indo TL group releases were fast enough to publish each arc chapters per month, currently on hiatus after summer live (edit: now they moved on to kozue arc til signing arc) cool vid, might inspired me to make a follow up to this?
still hoping for a U149 season 2 -and they finally voice Chika and Mai- am also hoping for an After20 because that would be such a fun gourmet anime meets idols to appear or even an adaptation to Wild Wind Girl too, so much missed potential that I hope does get picked up! I do wonder aside from those 3 is there ever gonna be another pickup spin off manga series to come out too 🤔
not cinderella girls related, but there's this im@s 2011 anime side story manga that focuses on kotori otonashi (called "asayake wa koganeiro). real good story, needs to be animated
So, U149 can be called a legitimate Cinderella anime spin-off? Or is it something like different alternate universes for the same setting and common characters?
Every iM@S anime is technically a different universe. For example Miria is working for a different company in Cinderella Girls and is friends with Rika who isn't even in the U149 anime.
Did you call the section about Yukimi "Lambdadelta " just because she looks like her and related in one way or another to the quirky blonde or are there other reasons?
Oopps, it should say Erika. Because in Umineko, there is a portrait where she is sitting on an armchair with an old background, similar to Yukimi's last SSR
@@imassubs Ah, now I understand. I'm just sensitive to Higurashi and Umineko's lore. In the sense that I don't know it perfectly and am always intrigued by mentions among other people.
Huh, i am surpised how he didnt mention about the opening's sunrise being in contrast to the sunset of the original idolm@ster opening but it could be because of spoilers i guess.
Now that you mention it. In the opening there is another use of the butterfly as a symbol of something. The blue butterfly that goes through all the girls' scenes. There are two elements that could represent the blue butterfly and one would be the 3rd Art Division symbol. But this is a green butterfly, so it could not be. The other thing is that most of the opening is a dream that Arisu has, and whens he wakes up, the first thing he sees is the producer. So, it couldn't be representing anyone else but him. However, another possible idea is that the blue butterfly is actually Arisu's blue bow hair. And the fact that the blue butterfly mostly accompanies the girls during the opening means that it represents the parents/adults who watch over the girls.
I've been following the manga more or less since the late 10's, but I still haven't been able to watch the anime because I was worried about how they would translate the story to the screen.
@@AngelGVC8620 I see. Unfortunately, I have not yet watched the Shinymas adaptation despite the fact that a number of the girls in it are my favorites in the franchise, but I can without any doubt say that IMAS gave me the best idol anime of my life.
@@andrewfantome4020 For sure iM@S is just peak idol anime, when you have the time and watch Shinymas you will not regret it (if you like it of course), it may not have the deep character development like the others (still on air yet) but the vibes it gives resembles an Iyashikei, the direction, the art style, the dialogues, the camera shots are just beautiful, it feels like I'm watching ARIA not gonna lie :'3
