I really got into Rugby at a young age in the year 2003. This is where I really started to understand the game and all the different aspects and mechanics.
I was curious to see if I could find some of my favourite Rugby players from that era, but I was shocked to find little to none footage or videos about these Rugby players.
So I decided that I wanted to create this channel in memory of my favourite Rugby players.
As an American, you think this would hurt, but nope. I'm an Ireland fan (a new fan of both the team and the sport of Rugby Union). This is just so satisfying. I know this was 3 years ago, but man it gets me every time. 71 points!! Come on Ireland, y'all spoil us. Much love from America, go Irish!!
not to be negative and to offend anyone, but this guy will be surely missed when he dies...... what a funeral he'll have; like a chief's!! hopefully, his former teammates will visit him and his family while he's still alive, and NOT wait for his funeral...... What-A-Legend!!!!!
The thing with Joe Roff is he was so deceptive! He ALWAYS seemed to have time to spare and never SEEMED to be fast - until someone tried to catch him. The Springboks of that era DID employ a very flat defence. He never SEEMED to be able to bust tackles easily - until he did. I think his positional play was probably superior to Rokocoko, which is why Joe Roff always seemed to have time on his side but, again, it's comparing not just apples to oranges, it's more like flora to fauna because of what was happening right across the field. I'm not sure it is possible to gauge an individual player from one era against a player from another (except, maybe Jonah Lomu who probably never really played fully fit but was just unbelievably potent) because often your team mates allow you to shine, by dominating other areas of the game.... and, certainly, throughout Joe's playing career, he was a member of both outstanding Brumbies and Australian sides...... however, to be a consistent member of both sides speaks for itself. I never played Rugby at any high level at all, so I am afraid I don't really think my comments hold much sway, anyway, but they are what they are.
I still can't figure out how the try was disallowed at the five minute mark. He had the ball stripped, which is play on. Before the ball hits the ground, his hand hits the ball backwards to his team mate. How was that considered a knock on?
Wow both sides playing a heck of a lot better then previous versions of themselves!! Felt like we are heading into tier 1 team type of game playing with clinical decisions and plays! There were a few errors but I can see both teams are heading in the right direction with their game plays! Well done to samoa for the win ans Tonga for the game
Manu Tuilagi is a beast... If he had lesser injuries he mightve been than Nonu But Nonu had an amazing team and RWC and more championships behind his name
