This is gold! If you're doing gi or no gi, these concepts are incredibly important. Some of the techniques won't work when strikes are involved, but 100 % the way to go if you're just grappling. Love it. Wish I had learned this way in the beginning. Ossu!
I talk about how to deal with this when I transition to the back take. This is by far the most common option I get here. The nice thing is I’ve given up nothing really if I lose the overhook.
@Michaelcurrierbjj the arm drag? Good to know it's common as I thought I was doing something wrong for everyone to be limp arming and pulling their arm out . Thanks for the response.
7:28 it’s been shown that raised cortisol levels from stressors dramatically increase the brains ability to retain information. The military uses this tactic regularly, they intentionally increase stress through physical activity which temporarily raises cortisol levels then overload the brain with information that require be memorized. Suffering= cortisol increase= retained knowledge
Love the addition of timestamps. Also very good to see that you spoke about anxiety/depression, albeit briefly. I usually cannot sit through more than a few minutes of RU-vid videos. I can watch your instructions for hours at a time. The information being presented is easy to digest also. The way you link the postures to encapsulate a more holistic defence is very interesting and important for those of us who struggle to absorb large chunks of information. I know not many laugh at your jokes but the humour keeps me engaged at least.
I dont understand something....as soon as you stick you hand in on someones side if they are big they just trap your arm and roll....I've seen it over and over
It seems that you are giving too many directions and solutions. Almost like giving someone a multiple step technique, but now you are giving a multiple step task. Maybe Im wrong.
This is the number one thing I see from the lazy K position. Less of an issue once I have the undertook on the leg. But definitely a pro before then. If they clear the leg, then I have to move to reverse DLR until I can extract my foot and place it back on the hip. That really is the primary battle though.
Pink Kimono? A disgusting website in his belt, in which was supposed to represent the highest of a human being. Well, Thanx god he is being pressured. What a disrespect to the tradition.
I’m so glad only 19 people commented on this and hopefully slept on this technique! I’m a brown belt and this is 100% the best and easiest technique to add to my game. We ran this today and figured out how you can get it very easy when you start with the under hook or chase the under hook after the neck grab by punching your fist to the floor then waiting for them to turn into you. You can also get it from being in a weak guard if you can smash down as they would want and then grabbing the neck and posturing for the under hook. Thanks @globetrotters!! 😊
