Thanks so much. Unhide Col A trips me up about once every 10 years. This is the best solution I've seen. Pity it isn't offered on the Microsoft Support page!
OMG - FINALLY! I did have to do it in the opposite order. First take off text wrap, then the checkmark finally reflected the true status (checked). Unchecked and I can actually get work done. Thank you.
This is great, I was using a Vlookup and had 4 and 5 digit numbers in my look-to array but 5 digits in the look-for list. I had to quickly (easily) add a leading zero to my 4-digit numbers, the Custom Format worked the easiest but I kept your other examples, too. Thank you.
My OCD was killing me, I could not move on with the rest of my Word file until I could fix this, I was trying everything for half an hour! I even reduced the text size by 1 and it fixed my issue but my OCD still wasn't happy with a patch job! THANK YOU SO MUCH, my mind is finally at peace!
Thanks, it was really bugging me trying to figure out how to deal with this issue. IMO Microsoft dropped the ball on this one, it should be intuitive to deal with a problem like this and not require going under the hood with hidden symbols to fix.
Oh I so agree! Word can be so painful when it comes to numbered lists and bullet points. I'm super happy my video helped you. Thanks for the comment! Sharyn
Any Idea how to get the value selected in the dropdown list updated, When you change the cell value were the list is made from? So for example jou make a column of some rows with animal types. Than you selct another cell, and greate here a dopdown list from those animals. You select the "COW" from the list and that cell has now value "COW". But now I change the original source cell to "Rabbit" insteat of Cow. In the dropdown list cell, the value keeps Cow, is not updated to Rabbt. How to solve this????
Hi there. There are a few steps to getting this right. You might like to check out this video for the steps. I hope it helps. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4F2_93c2oxY.htmlsi=XAcH4JY-q1Vx9xKb
Hi, how to add or deduct a value in a cell basing on the sign of outcome of subtracting value from previous two cells : Example: A - B = C (Here A and B are independent variables thereby the sign of value in C could be positive or negative.) Next Step is C + D or C - D viz if value in C is negative, it would be C+D else it would be C-D. How do I write a one line command for the above. Pl guide
Hi there, there may be an extra space, comma or bracket in your formula. If you are experiencing this error while following my video you might like to pause the video and check you have exactly the same formula as me, before you press ENTER.
@excelatwork Is it possible to count where there are multiple values in a cell, ie if you had “paid, outstanding” in one cell (I know it wouldn’t make sense in this particular example, but I have a sheet where an action owner sometimes has one name, which is fine, but sometimes 2 or more names against it. I want to count how many actions each person has! Including those shared actions)
Oh my gosh you helped me after constantly trying remove those blank pages without disturbing the page break. You are brilliant! ❤❤❤. Thank you best tutorial ever!
Wow I cannot explain how much time I have wasted with this issue before finding this solution. I had the exact opposite problem where the rows would NOT break even though I wanted them to, and checking the box "break across pages" did nothing. What an absolutely useless setting. I can't see any reason why this should also work without text wrapping. Thank you so much for resolving this problem.
