My OCD was killing me, I could not move on with the rest of my Word file until I could fix this, I was trying everything for half an hour! I even reduced the text size by 1 and it fixed my issue but my OCD still wasn't happy with a patch job! THANK YOU SO MUCH, my mind is finally at peace!
Wow I cannot explain how much time I have wasted with this issue before finding this solution. I had the exact opposite problem where the rows would NOT break even though I wanted them to, and checking the box "break across pages" did nothing. What an absolutely useless setting. I can't see any reason why this should also work without text wrapping. Thank you so much for resolving this problem.
I had sort of the opposite problem with an inherited minutes template where the table wouldn't break and would allow a continuous stream of text that would go down past the size of the page (if that makes sense!?) and this helped me fix that straight away - thank you so much! Great tutorial! So easy to follow.
OMG - FINALLY! I did have to do it in the opposite order. First take off text wrap, then the checkmark finally reflected the true status (checked). Unchecked and I can actually get work done. Thank you.
Excellent. I was struggling with this because I had two table I was referring to in a comparative analysis essay and it was driving me bonkers that the last two rows of table B were breaking. Bravo!
Thank you! Just what I needed. I couldn't see the paragraph section on the top , what i did was select the line before the table and the table then I right clicked and choose paragraph then followed as your video suggest. Thanks again life saver !
Excellent! Keeping a table together especially for preventing the title row on and Table tag on one page and the rest on another is very important. I hadn't thought about that detail until you brought it up. I wouldn't have guessed changing from Wrap Text to None after selecting Allow Row To Break Across Pages."
Do you mind if you could provide word file doc so I can practice. I am studying for job test. There are a lot subjects a have to study and don't have time to create long text to practice. Thank you.
Thank you for making it simple. But I have a problem. I did the same with the caption on top but it didn’t move together with the table. Can you help me so that both the caption and the table move together ?
Hi there. Please try selecting both the caption and the paragraph and then right-click the selected area > select Paragraph > click the Lines & Page Breaks tab > select 'Keep with Next'. I hope this helps :)
Hi David. If the 200 rows are in one table try selecting the table and then check the Table Properties are correct, i.e., the Text Wrapping option is set to None, and the Allow rows to break across pages is unchecked. I hope this helps.
