Very nice, recently decided to rack mount my equipment as well, ic 7300 is my main rig. SDS200 for scanning and I’ll be looking for a 2m/440 and a gmrs rig that plays well with the rack mounts
a question about the Bct15x, about connecting the programming cable, normally at the front. You got it in the back? is that a normal rs232 to usb cable? Gr.pe1nbi
I use a standard USB-1 cable with the smaller end cut off end replaced with a DB9. You can also get serial-USB cables from Amazon and others already set up. The Startech ICUSB232FTN works great and is wired properly to accommodate the rear serial port on the Uniden scanners.
My name is Robert I was wondering maybe if you could help me I got a 136 truck and scanner I want to program it by hand but I just can't read that good I thought maybe if you could tell me how to go about it to do it
What type of multi coupler do you use? I use a Winradio G39ddc excelsior for my Milair searching and it changed everything for me. It locks up everything. I really love it. Nice set up.
I use Stridsberg multicouplers exclusively. They work great, are reliable and if something does go wrong they repair them quickly and without a fuss. They are available at Scanner Master.
Hi Richard wow what a great shack you have there !!.I’m based in the UK If I’m correct I noticed you are feeding from one output port on the multicoupler to the antenna input port on another multicoupler to add more outputs to feed your radios, do you have any signal loss ? , I just purchased a 4 port multicoupler but wish I got one with more outputs now so I was thinking off piggy backing of one like you have with a 8 port kind any advice greatly appreciated regards Peter
There won't be loss per se as multicouplers do have net gain but there will be some degradation due to compression when stacking multicouplers. If possible I would use a single multicoupler with enough ports to cover your needs rather than stacking them.
Hi Richard I was wondering if there is much difference between the UNIDEN BEARCAT SCANNER BCD 996PZ and the BCT15X apart from that you can change the screen colour ? Regards Peter
@@richardcarlson127 thanks for clarifying that I use a whistler trx2 for digital I must admit I would like to get the uniden as well but the import charges are high and so is the p&p . 73’s M3LGJ
