Hi bro, hope you're doing great. Your videos helped me in applying a fresh Kitas last year. Now I am nearing Kitas expiry in another 2.5 months, so have a few questions. How early should I apply for renewal? Is it easier than applying for a fresh Kitas? Can it be done online? Is there a DIY video on KITAS Renewal which you would recommend, since I don't see one on your channel.

How about obtaining first the 60 day tourist visa to prepare for the retirement visa? Do you have a video discussing this?

Brother, Do you know if we can apply KITAP directly if we are already married for more than 2 years?
@inoinbatavia
@inoinbatavia Год назад
You must apply for a KITAS first I'm afraid. Once you get your KITAS, you can immediately start your KITAP conversion.

Great video, thank you for the info. I have a couple of questions, For the SKTT, is the application form you mentioned the application form for the SKTT? Also, for the STM, is the application letter an application letter for the STM and is the sponsorship letter the same as the one used to obtain the KITAS?
@inoinbatavia
@inoinbatavia Год назад
Yes, the application form you can repurpose it from your KITAS one. Just change it from KITAS to SKTT. You probably already have both, "Surat Permohonan" is the application letter. STM is something you need to pick up at your local police station. Just bring your passport and KITAS with you. It's free of charge, if you have to pay then they're not straight. You need to check out the procedure in the town you're living in. Because in Jakarta, STM is not mandatory. Just type in "(city you live) SKTT persyaratan".

Sorry I have a question, insurance coverage you got covers for expat or only local citizens. Thank you
@inoinbatavia
@inoinbatavia Год назад
For expat only. For locals there's BPJS and private insurance. Private insurance typically get the preferential treatment in my experience.

Just couple of things. Firstly, Indonesia isn't a Muslim country. It is majority Muslim country. Secondly, it's kind of sad that people would come to Indonesia but still need to consume alcohol. If you need to drink, it'd probably be best to go to Kemang in the South of Jakarta.
@inoinbatavia
@inoinbatavia Год назад
Yes, it's not a Muslim country, but it's a predominant Muslim centric society. Regarding the consumption of alcohol, I understand that personal preferences and cultural practices can vary greatly among individuals. While it is true that Indonesia has certain regulations and cultural norms regarding the availability and consumption of alcohol. While some people may choose not to consume alcohol for various reasons, I understand that personal preferences can differ. And I understand that some visitors (foreigners) may still enjoy having a drink during their stay. For those interested, areas like Kemang in the South of Jakarta are known for their establishments offering a variety of bars and restaurants where alcoholic beverages are available. Thank's for your comment.

i need to ask one question abang please if you are able to help me im US citizen my wife is indonesia so im trying to get kitas so my question is if i get kitas will it effect my US citizen or not
@inoinbatavia
@inoinbatavia Год назад
No it does not. KITAS is basically a residence permit to stay in Indonesia as a foreigner. You still keep your nationality. If you want to change nationality, you must apply for a KITAP first before converting. Hope it helps.
