Alicia, Tears are the way the body releases CORTISOL, the only way it leaves our body is through tears, so sobbing, as you did, is purely healthy, meaningful and really detoxing, letting go of the past trauma, that may be from overwhelming stuff now, and/or may be past generations' pain, so please do cry. Let's all cry, anytime we can! Yes, yes, yes to crying all the way out!!! That really struck me how healthy that was to cry with Genesis. 2. Listening without carrying what is heard, (and, I would add, without giving advice, unless asked)....is what I learned training as a Celtic Mystic, and facilitating circles, (using my songs I sing), for healing since 2009; in Maui, Ireland, L.A., NYC, and Scotland; Angie, you are so beautiful sharing that you learned to stop carrying what is shared with you. You want to help. You are pure compassion, so kind and well-meaning, and you learned to not carry it home or on your heart. THIS is exactly what we train to learn; we listen inside to our own feelings, and we learn to know we are most helpful when we are "empty inside and out" when listening to others. This is the most helpful, because it shows that we, as the listener, have full faith in the genius, wisdom and relationship the person sharing has with God and themselves to find their own answers. She give Zino such a hard time, publicly. I watched this, hoping to gain some context that would explain her disrespect and anger. I’m 15 minutes in, and she’s mostly just talked about him and I haven’t heard one reason that would validate the way she acts. Which confirms what I thought initially-she’s a spoiled, entitled brat. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised by the end of the interview.
As a 44 year old black man this interview touched me and actually got me emotional, Melissa is so well spoken and intelligent and definitely has a good head on her shoulders.
