Looks great. Have to do something similar…wondering if there is any issue with heave and thaw and pulling off the building. Did you have any issues or did you do frost free footings..? Thanks
I don't bass fish but I was fishing one day at steam plant on the wall where the discharge is. I kept seeing shad jump. I didn't have my bass rods but a bass fisherman came close. I asked him if he had a top water and he threw it near wall. In 15 cast he caught probably 10 bass 3 of them over 4 pounds. Another day I was in same spot and with my cast net i caught a 7 lb and a 2 lb bass. Sadly last time I was there you couldn't get to the spot
I’m local to Nashville and fished Bull creek boat ramp this past weekend for the first time. Any spot recommendations closer to the steam plant? I’ve hit sanders ferry and lock 4, which are the opposite direction, but just looking for new spots. Thanks.
I have a 518c with the 200hp merc i love it. I could have picked any of them but settled on the shorter boat for the water i fish and im always alone anyways.
thank you very much young man! I bought a 9.9 last year and have not been able to tilt the motor! My buddies and i have messed with it. Soon as you said and point at the ring shape latch I went WTF? Nothing that would point that out! You are awesome!! THANK YOU!
Percy Priest can be deep as you want or as shallow as you fear in a boat. It goes from 100 ft to 3 ft instantly in some places. I prefer fishing off the bluffs around the Fate Sanders area.
Really trying to decide if I want to get the beat down shorty or ultimate mount. Do you still love having the ultimate or would you like to have a shorter pole with the shorty?
Having the ultimate is really nice if you are targeting fish with livescope or forward facing sonar as the graph is close to you and you can make adjustments easier. I still love it for how I fish.
I just bought a "new to me" 1996 2 stroke 8HP in super good shape.... looks and runs like brand new... and for the life of me i couldnt figure out why this RING lever whachamathingy, was the lock out mechanism. did not know that the bracket on the small post was there for a reason!! came across this video and BAMMMM answered! Was out of adjustment like described in the video.. thank you!!! works like a charm!! set it and forget it!!! sounding like Ron Pompeil on some infomerciall!!! I have a deep splashwell on an old starcraft and was thinking what a P.I.T.A its gonna be to pull motor but now easy peasy!!
Yes. I had two 12s for a few months. Didn’t like 360 so I removed the helix and went back to the 9 inch garmin. Current setup is 12 inch for live scope and 9 inch for mapping.
I had heard the thumper is only a cold water technique that really works best in water over 20 feet! Ive been really tearing the Hybrids up for the past three months here in SE Texas!. Nothing beats Hybrids, not the best eating fish, but darn sure the best fighting fish!
You need to check into the Lewmar axis shallow water anchor cost less, lighter, easy install, and maintenance free with no hydraulic fluid to deal with.
