Hi Hope! I am thrilled to have learned about you from another nail tech and love your videos and info. Can you please share where I can find the online modules for pedicuring you mentioned? Thank you .
I'm not sure! Search for toenail reconstruction, certified master pedicurists, or advanced nail technicians. You're also welcome to dm on instagram, and I can take a look at my audience there to see if I know anyone.
I found the bits but would you be so kind as to message me exactly which ones you are using in this vidio also do you have a link to your electric file and what you spray or apply to feet right before you start. I’m just getting started thanks lots!!
You can find a similar e-file at rotatool.com, the cleansing spray is the Disinfecting Lotion from Gehwol (use code healthtobeauty for 15% off your first order), and I'm using the Essential Pedicure Bit Kit available at healthtobeautynail.com 🙂
Here's the link to the chair with all the measurements: www.dirsalonfurniture.com/medical-spa-equipment/medical-spa-bed-chair/medical-spa-chair You can use code 'health' at checkout to let them know I sent you 🙂 And here's my manicure table: www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/upper-square-kamen-sit-down-stand-up-ergonomic-computer-desk-standing-desk-w006427681.html
Hello and thank you for this really informative vidéo. I was wondering if you remove all your reconstruction each time or if sometimes you juste do a filler ?
At the follow up appointment at 6 weeks, I'll typically fill if everything looks good. Then 6 weeks after that, I remove completely and do a new reconstruction.
@@HealthtoBeautyNails Thank you so much!🙏 I'm using the file you linked for about 4 years now😁 Think I'm gonna look for that angel file with the Gehwol callus softener to see if I like it🤞❤
I'm glad you have a foot care routine! Be careful with the ped egg as those types of files can take off more than is ideal causing the callus to grow back faster and thicker over time.
I use this method and I also send clients home with a small sample size of a hydrating moisturizer and have them get some cotton socks with grip at the bottom. I also finish off the treatment with a gentle cleanser and a soft brush to get every bit of the callus softener off. It’s such a nice treatment. 😊
❤ I have a question for you. I only do natural nail services and I am looking for a cordless nail drill for my senior clients who have developed thick toe nails and have not had any good care. Do you have a recommendation I live in California? Thank you
I used the Kupa Mani Passport Pro for a long time, but I do not recommend ever sending it to their maintenance department. I have a Medicool one now which also works well, but I preferred my Kupa.
@@HealthtoBeautyNails Awe thank you for responding. I have been hand filing and as we know that can get old. I will check both out and find a good fit. Have a lovely weekend 💖
I really like your work. But remember if this is nail fungus you should not use Onyfix. Please have the patient see a dermatolgist therefor first. If the nail thickens because of pressure due to foot deformation. It will come back unless wearing orthopedic insols and a silicon protection/ seperater. Thank you for sharing:)
@@annak.9626 these are Gehwol bits, but I will look up the others, thank you. This client is also working with a dermatologist. Can you share with me where on the packaging it says Onyfix should not be used on fungal nails? I have not seen this nor was it mentioned in my certification class.
You mean if the cracks are open and bloody? I'd start by recommending the client use Gehwol's Salve for Cracked Skin to keep the cracks clean and start to return elasticity to the skin. I'd avoid this area in service if they came in this way.
So satisfying to watch!👌 Thank you so much❤ Could you please tell me how to use Gehwol fluid? Do I just add a drop on the nails as you do in the video? Thanks in advance🙏
Thanks for watching! Fluid can be used on any area that is irritated, so if you have some nail sensitivity, put a drop of it on the area and gently rub it in a little bit. That's it! You can use it on a bug bite, on a cut, on a corn, really any area that's cranky, and it'll help to soothe it.
@@jogotsell the file is the ingrown nail file from the North American School of Podology. The cleaning tool is DC Double Ended 200 R from gewholfootcare.com and you can use code healthtobeauty for 15% off your first order 😊
Thanks for watching! I used a medium 150 grit since this client doesn't have any major callus or dry skin. Get them here: www.healthtobeautynails.com/pro-store-access
This is awesome!! Love this video!! Sometimes I felt like I was watching myself haha. It's interesting how I use the tapered barrel in the other direction. I think it comes from doing gel nails and shaping with e-file for years. Always working from right to left.
Haha we are in good company! I like doing my cuticle exfoliation in both directions because I find it helps to move the skin away from the nail plate. Thank you for the kind words!
Sometimes with shorter clients, their feet don't fully hang off the leg piece. They will sometimes scoot down to make it easier or I'll just lift their leg a little bit to get under the heel. The very bottom of the leg piece is also removable which I know a lot of techs like and will completely take it off, so that would also solve the issue. For most clients, though, it's totally fine.
