I turn abandoned boats into dollars, then I blow it all building the craziest boats you’ve ever seen…
I have been flipping bass boats, outboard motors, john boats, and bow riders for over 7 years. This channel documents all of my newest projects with transparent costs, quick video, and some bad jokes in between... I am on a mission to give you the best boat content yet!
Follow along on my journey- I appreciate you all so much!

I actually own the exact same motor. It should have came with a replacement pull cord assembly. If it doesn't, get one and keep it with you. You will thank me later. I forgot mine and got stuck on Tosh Brown's Island. I am lucky enough to have really good friends who were able to come and get me. You will love it. Have fun
"This impeller doesn't look too bad", then we look at the new one, no comparison! That's the reason we replace impellers, they become hard and permanently distorted. It definitely needed replacement!
I dont understand why people are so in to that cheap stuff. If the price is like that some corners had to be cut. We still use old 4-stroke Honda motor that my dad purchased at early 90s. With little maintenance its still reliable motor and it is possible to get spare parts if needed. I would assume that the cheap motors are designed to be replaced not repaired when problema occur, but i am not sure
@@tarmo4435 this is a fair question! They do actually have spare parts for this motor (I was surprised as well). Lots of people without mechanical knowledge may not want to take the risk of buying second hand and may not be comfortable working on motors themselves. It’s more comforting to some folks to buy something factory new, even if it is subpar quality. I agree for people like you and I, I would always rather buy an older motor of higher quality and work on it myself however some people just aren’t comfortable with that I’d say. And unfortunately now a days taking a motor to the shop for even the most basic things will cost you the entire purchase price of this brand new motor. So at $180, I could see it being an attractive offer for someone who just wants a little something for the occasional kayak or canoe trip, or as an emergency kicker. Plus you don’t have to deal with finding a good quality used motor, dealing with dishonest sellers, and having that fear of something breaking. I’m with you- but those are my thoughts on why some may like it!
Hope you put gear oil in it they come dry..... They are a great little motor if you do a few little mods and look after it, i have one iverca year now and its great.... Ok I see you did good stuff 👍 you also have to break the engine in for 10 hours.... Before you take it out.. it has a centrifugal clutch so it won't pump water while idling..
I have an old sports pal aluminum canoe with a mount for a motor. This engine looks tempting, but it's not something I'd register. Can i get away with not registering a boat with an engine under a certain size?
You having some fun in a small boat with a small motor! You are out there...the setup is very portable, the setup is fun in the sun. With huge inflation, why go into debt? Well done, I'll check the Hangkai myself!
You get it man! Never go into debt for a boat!! Everybody just wants to be on the water so do it in a way you can afford. This setup was $300 total and had a blast 😎 thanks for watching
That looks like just what my Coleman Scanoe needs. The factory 4in aluminum transom will handle a 15hp engine. 25hp was pretty hairy. But fun. This will be nice to teach the grandkids how to operate a outboard motor boat.
@@Thechristianfight I guess I use mine differently, I am in stealth mode creeping up rivers for smallmouth, rarely out on lakes with it. On lakes I’m in my canoe or jonboat.
I’ve been using baitcasters for about 14 years 💯 there’s a legitimate argument though that I don’t know how to use spinning reels… always seem to get those tangled
I got a good 1998 Mercury EFI that I’m about to sale it comes with a old procraft hull and trailer $2200 the outboard is perfect the transom repair I did lasted 5 years and I got another boat
Outriggers! That's my advice, anyway. Make a couple outriggers that extend out a few feet from the sides and the back; it's what I use to turn my kayak into a little bass boat and it makes it stable enough to jump around in. Get the biggest size boat fenders (dock bumpers) you can, I use the Attwoods, and fabricate the framing from pvc or treated lumber, and make it so you can attach/detach easy using your impact at the launch. Such a fun and cool video, and happy you and the boat made it back safe!
A boat is a endless money pit. Lol As a owner of multiple boats myself over the years, you pretty much covered a lot of common issues. Electrical issues, clogged carbs, siezed bilge pumps, old fuel. Stuck t-stats. Ahh, fun times. Still a bargain for what you paid. Enjoy!
