I'm so used to seeing cover bands or originals with a different lead singer get slammed on YT...."Foreigner ain't shit without Lou Gramm"...or "Chicago sucks without Terry..." and so forth. But there's not one post in this entire thread that doesn't praise this new-generation Stevie Nicks to the moon and back. And deservedly so. If there wasn't a corresponding video, not one person in 100 would realize this isn't the original rendition.
I saw her in concert back in '89. Stevie kicked ass. The Hooters opened for her. Damn good concert. Shelia E. was in Miami at the time and put in a small appearance and played with Stevie. It was fantastic.
Yup this cover sounds so much like Stevie and all of Fleetwood Mac. I was blessed to see Fleetwood Mac many times between 1968 and 1977. I watched them evolve from a blues band with Peter Green, to the rock band with Perfect/McVie, to adding Stevie and Lindsay and becoming a Supergroup.
Wow! Samantha's gotten so eclectic since I last heard her. R 'n' B, Blues, country, Tex Mex, Rock. The first thing I thought was, she's been listening to Amy Winehouse and some traditional country - my mind went to Patsy Cline, but she was probably listening to younger traditional singers. There are some new influences in her solos, but I don't know who - Jeff Beck? Robert Cray perhaps? I don't really keep up anymore. But she's very soulful. In the old days of rock radio, like the '70s, she would have been a staple.
Meet brad in Tampa one evening and said nice to meet you and I’m not going to mention anything about the questions you have been asked and million times he laughed and said thanks for being a fan I just love to play guitar and be under the radar and live a quiet life when I need some free time a friend asked who was that I was talking to and I said just a guy that plays guitar for a living
I have this on a a 33 cassette and cd good times for sure saw them in 84 at the Lakeland Civic Center One of the few big events they played might have been Ratt and another small time band that opened the show smoking a lot of weed at the time but definitely remember Witford/ST Holmes playing for 2 hours with everything that had $6.50 gas 1.79 beer 5.99 for a case of Busch
Samantha Fish is hot in every way! Plays barefoot kicking off those pumps, proficient and innovative shredding and a blues band presence and beautiful voice. Man! She must work hard!
I read Amy's bio - she said she didn't take the music plunge earlier because of confidence. I've watched several of Amy on youtube - and now I love this song. Amy, you got way over your confidence issue. You nailed it - BIG Time!
I like how she tricked them with “this is indeed our last song of the night”, and then left the stage like they were done, only to come back and play more
Wonderful performance but don’t understand why they don’t have an appointed bass player for such a great band… That poor keyboard player has to double the keyboard and bass?? Weird, gets the job done but as a musician just don’t get it…. ?? Regardless… Awesome musicians..
