Hey man when you put the old gasket on the aluminum upper intake... you forgot to put the tray bracket for the gasket and the pvc tube that goes twourd the throttle bottle area. You must have got a air code for that...
@WBodyTech I feel like their parts work very well my guy. If you wanted to really work the he'll out of the parts. They also did make an entire 3800 engine out of their parts... it's pretty sick. N snake oil? Wum by that? Cause I use full synthetic. Always have. I'd never buy oil online dude. Who would do that.

@@danielocarey9392 my guy, the sensor isn't adjustable on any of them. The harmonic balancer can twist which would hide the threaded holes. If you can't figure it out, take it to the shop. I've been working on these since the 90s and own 22 of these vehicles right now. I'm telling you facts.
@@WBodyTech I am glad to hear from you. But my new replacement balancer has no threaded holes available. Perhaps the Chinese didn't know to line them up.
How did you get the fuel tank to drop? I'm trying to drop the fuel tank, but it feels like there's a nut on the other side of the bolt. Do you remember what size the nut was? The bolt is 13 mm.

I see you pulled the engine forward to allow a little more room. Can you tell me if you had to loosen anything to do that or does it just flex on the mounts? (I am a novice). Also, my leak is on the lowpressure side and after watching I am thinking about just replacing the rubber tube where the leak is. Would you suggest replacing both high pressure and low pressure since I'm doing the low? Do the hoses tend to fail at the same time. I would have thought the high pressure would have been the first to go so I am questioning if I should just attempt both. Great info. New subscriber.
Set your ebrake, chock the wheels and place the car in neutral. You will need to remove the 2 front torque mounts completely to get all the room you want. Use a ratchet strap and pull until the engine is about as forward as it can safely get. I only ever had one line fail at a time but since I’m in there and it’s not a fun job I just do both at the same time. Just make sure you get the correct lines. You need to check your option codes for assist power steering and without assist. Some cars had it and some don’t, you can also just buy the high side line and fabricate the low side. I have a 2002 GP SE. I wouldn’t have thought to take the low pressure line out through the passenger wheel well. Just one additional thought, you don’t need to be too careful when removing it. A little jiggling and yank and it’ll come out. THANKS for a great video.!!

I used to work on used to change engines and everything but them days are over with my back and my knees, I’m lucky to get in and drive them. I had a 74 LTZ 28. I got hit by a car and my brother said he would buy it and you never pay me once at four never got one I love gold with black I missed it. I got it and then took it away and then I got another Camaro and tornado took away and then 2000 I could work anymore so that took anyway to get another Camaro and work on it so I missed it a lot of my Camaro. I’ve had so many I was lucky my first car was 1969, yeah my car is 7069 and white. I love the green car good luck. I love you.
OEM Tools 27296... according to auto zone its for the 3.8 as well as 3.3(? I didnt think GM made a 3.3L.. afaik toyota and chrysler did) Edit: and afaik the torque spec for the HB bolt is 111#ft with an additional 75 degrees after you hit 111. I believe other models have a different degree of post torque tho Double edit: i would also advise you use a weighted impact socket to take off the HB bolt, otherwise youre just wasting time at best and wearing yourself (as well as the impact gun) out unnecessarily at worse

Hows it holding up? I have to do the pan and timimg cover. It blows my mind that their is no gasket and gm calls for rtv. Surprised no one made aftermarket ones yet.
Where on the LIM did you guys mount the chains on the hoist on?? Im pulling a 98 GTP engine for my monte carlo and was wondering where you put the chains but im leaving the tranny in the car. Thanks
I toss a bolt on the side of the heads if I don’t have a mounting point. Never the intake or plenum. Your engine should have 2 hooks to pull it, one on the back by the alternator and one on the front by the thermostat housing.
@@WBodyTech Do you just thread the bolt partially in? Also if you don’t mind telling which bolts you use? Everything above the LIM has been taken off, so I’m not worried about damaging the supercharger. Let me know thanks
