Chandler, I've been looking for ways to achieve this. Right now, there are two main paths that I can take. One is to create custom shrouds for the STU-SM-AWBR surface mounts and the second is to re-design a stick light that I have been eyeing. What do you want to see?
@@SignalTechUnlimited Two questions - do you plan on updating the light stick pattterns? and the controller that comes with your visor bar, can that be either removed or can you tie in other units to that controller?
@@ChandlerRFink Chandler, We do not have any plans to alter our lightbar flash patterns. The controller included with our lightbars can be removed to allow for hard-wiring (Hard-wiring instructions are included). We have not tested the possibility of powering auxiliary accessories with the lightbar controller, so I cannot say for certain. Thank you, STU

They come with 3 different mode-trigger wires where you can program a flash pattern & color combination to each of the wires and enable different response modes by a touch of a button. Hi Chandler! Thanks for your comment. There are currently no plans for this model to become quad-color. However, I will be testing a new light stick model that is capable of tri-color in the coming weeks. If I think it is good, then I can bring those to market and replace our current traffic advising sticks. Furthermore, I am looking into the possibility of making a dash/deck housing for the STU-SM-AWBR surface mount. I’m my 27+ years law enforcement experience and emergency equipment management I’ve never been a fan of the large focused round diode appearance companies lean on for visor bars. Rather this version is more efficient, brighter, cleaner looking, and effective. I would prefer to see this exact model available with driver and passenger side visor mounting and flash shield.
Thank you very much for your feedback! I am always looking for ways to improve our products. I will definitely keep your feedback in mind when we are developing new products. I personally agree with you that these lighting optics are much more attractive and effective! However, one of the issues we encounter when dealing with this style of lens is that it is very bulky. It is difficult to fit a lens that is so tall (height-wise) in an internal visor form factor while also allowing enough clearance for safe viewing of the road. Generally, linear style lenses are possible, but the fact that the light must pass through glass (and sometimes tint) makes TIR optics much more sensible. As you may have seen already, we offer an interior visor lightbar with the same flash patterns and dual-color capability ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9G1GQXy18jg.htmlsi=1Ehfbhjlzekr8kHV but this model also uses the TIR optics that you described you don't generally prefer. @@ChandlerRFink I intend to carry dual color models at a minimum (I currently plan to carry Amber/White dual, Red/White dual, Blue/White dual, & Red/Blue split with secondary white). Tri-color models will be possible as well, but I may make this a special order item since it is more complex. The video you saw there was a demonstration of red/white dual on a trio color (Red/Amber/White) model that I have been testing.
