Thanks! My fifth gear is very hesitant and “ pops” in after playing with the advantage cog. How many complete turns do you recommend on the barrel adjuster when going counterclockwise?
Nice looking bike but poor quality control or poor transport.Rear wheel has major issues right out of the box. ru-vid.comUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Rear axle is bent! Derailleur is misaligned.Since the rear wheel comes assembled I would have expected better.Assembly instructions poorly written, but that was not unexpected...just annoying.I just had the bike checked at a shop and was told that I should contact the seller about getting a whole rear wheel assembly with cartridge. (The bike shop could not do anything to help me).Not a good experience with this bike, so lesson learned.Added 3 stars for excellent customer serviceUpdate Sept 8 2020Just received a complete replacement wheel for free. Great service and an otherwise fine bike.
Was a little apprehensive when buying this with the few negative reviews on here, but this was exactly the kind of bike I was looking for. ru-vid.comUgkxn_jUDSlprMIeubd9rHdEAnv59nKfjcKv I plan to ride it on paved roadways and trails, and wanted a "Grocery Getter" so to speak. After receiving it (without any damage), I had it out of the box, and fully assembled in about 30 minutes. I did not have to look at the manual, and I'm glad because I did look at it after I got it together, and it looks like it's a manual for several different styles. I did have to adjust the breaks and gear shifters, but that's been my experience with every bike I've owned. There was one review in particular that made me nervous, saying it was not meant for someone 6'4", it was too short. Well I'm 6'5" (230lbs) with a 36" inseam, and can tell you this bike fits perfectly, granted the seat is in it's highest safe position. I've only had it for 3 days so far, and if things change I will update my review, but I put 26 miles on it so far, and it rides like a dream. Very comfortable seating position. The front suspension is good for the occasional rock or bump you hit on asphalt, but this bike is not made to be taken off road, and I'm OK with that. I was particularly happy to see the wheels were trued perfectly. I was expecting to have to take them in and have them trued at a local bike shop, as I've had to do with all my past bike purchases, but in this case they were already in great shape. For the money, this is an awesome bike.
The problem may be that most rims nowadays are aluminum rims. Easily bent out of true. Steel rims from years ago are better. They stay straight longer.
Daamn sir thanks a lot I did not know that there are so many cables that can be detached, and besides lubricanting I think I have found the solution to another problem of mine. Thank you.
I bought a huffy rock creek 26inch and the front derailer will shift or not shifting making that grinding sound then if I got to the closest gear to the pedal it will jump off the teeth. My father said it's way out of tune just watched this and I suspect that it's a combo of tension and position that's out of wack
Thanks So such! Just been on a trip to Halfords to help align my front derailleur! They said they were fully booked up & didn’t care for 2 months! Following your video I fixed it In 4 minutes!! (Halfords just lost £20)
Much appreciate the terminology at the start! I've been looking at so many guides and manuals and they all just expect you to know the names of everything, if I knew all the terminology I'd probably know how to fix my issue already! Useless for newcomers. Great video.
Even pro cyclists video aren't detailed like this one...lol...this is one of the best detailed videos on how to lube your bike properly..simple, short and to the point..thanks
