@@D95DESIGN it didn’t work because the batch file was on the network drive. Also I can’t create the folder on the network file even if the bat is on the pc and it’s running properly. Is there a way to make that work?

It depends a lot on how you apply materials and name materials inside SketchUp. If you experience bug symptoms, try with Legacy Method: - go to System Settings in SketchUp Linker. Select Legacy Import. - with the SketchUp file, save it to the old version (2013 or older). - try reloading everything.

Maybe you're using the Legacy Method in SketchUp Linker, or 3ds Max doesn't support the version of SketchUp you're using. To fix it, save SketchUp to an earlier version (2014 or earlier).
It not work form me because I can't copy from a 3DMAX file. When i'm Copy program is not responding. It doesn't show loading or anything. my program is 3DMAX 2024 and sketchup 2021
Thank you for your response. I believe the issue lies in copying and pasting objects that are too complex. This script is not suitable for exporting a heavy scene as it only uses standard import and export APIs. Please optimize the scene before copying and pasting. Hi, thank you for your email. I'm responding here so that other users with similar issues can benefit as well. To use the "Copy to SketchUp" command, you need to install ThomThom's QuadFaceTools (free) for SketchUp. I have noted this requirement on the homepage. If you do not install ThomThom's plugin, you will only be able to use the Copy and Paste commands with the note (no texture). Please install it and try again.
For some reason file after attaching didn't appear at the Linker list when i'm using legacy method. But if i use standard settings it delete all the materials from the model..
I'm not sure about your issue; perhaps you need to provide more specific information so I can understand what the error is. You should also check for the latest version of SketchUp Linker. Note that SketchUp Linker is best supported on 3ds Max 2020 and later.
@@D95DESIGNOk, so. I have 3ds max 2022, sketchUp linker 1.04 and sketchup 2021. When i'm saving project as it is in 2021 version of sketchup it can't be imported at all, and when i'm saving it in 2015/8 version of sketchup it can be imported but sometimes without linking and sometimes with link but without materials. I tried it on 2 different projects and result is the same.

Thank you for your feedback. It is unfortunate that currently I am unable to adjust the font size, as it utilizes the system font of 3ds Max. However, I am seeking ways to work around this limitation.
@@scpk2246 Yes, everything will be extracted into a temporary folder. There are two options regarding the location of the temporary folder. You can choose to save it alongside each 3ds Max file, or save it to a common location for all 3ds Max scene. The first method is the default because it helps you manage the merged history of each 3ds Max scene.
The function of unpacking the archive into the original folder with relinking is missing. The point is not to duplicate textures across project folders, but to keep them close to the source archive. And when reusing the model, perhaps the script would skip unpacking simply by relinking. Just an idea to save space, since I only unzip the textures and store the models in compressed form
great!!!!! but everytime that i merge loads of models with loads of maps, it pops up a dialog box recomending me to put the max file and the maps in the same folder. Wouldnt bother if was just once, but pops up one for each model that im merging. Like the maxtree ones
@@D95DESIGN thanks for the answare! Using a few days now. I just found another problem. Apparently, the fact that all merged objects and maps are collected to a SmartMerge folder is causing the "Render had to be aborted because a bitmap on disk changed and is being reloaded. Continuing the render could cause crash or undefined behavior. Bitmap name is: XXXX" error of corona render. It would be great if the plugin had an option of just relink and not collect (like relink bitmap script does). It would also waste less storage.
Hi! Does this converter works to convert Corona lights to other formats? Mainly to Standard to export to Blender and Unreal Engine. If not, do you have any other script to accomplish this? Thanks!
Unfortunately no, currently this script only converts everything to Corona, and not the other way around. I currently don't have a script to do that, however there are a few paid scripts to do it. You can search for "converter" in scriptspot to try.
Stupid script, after its use the selection region display completely disappears, even the highlighting of objects when hovering stops working. It can only be fixed by restarting 3ds max.

@@D95DESIGN I have no idea under what conditions, but after using this script, the display of the dotted line with which objects are selected completely disappears. 3ds max 2022.
