About Pecos Hank: Half musician, half filmmaker documenting severe weather since 1994, Hank witnessed his first tornadoes in 2002. In 2013 he documented the widest tornado ever, in 2014 the fastest-moving tornado ever and in 2019 discovered a new TLE called a green ghost. I was in a really bad storm yesterday there was lightning surrounding me everywhere and I was in my car and the rain made it really hard too see good thing no tornadoes were produced
I just watched an episode of "Bones" where they used the anticyclonic tornado to help solve a murder. I wasn't expecting a video to explain how this works in my feed but I'm glad it was.
at 3:46 if you play the video at 0.25x speed, you can see another sort of little snake or millipede wiggle away on the bottom left of the screen as you begin to stand up off the ground
Rest in peace to the Twistex team. This tornado was unpredictable and scary. It developed so fast and was completely rain wrapped. Very lucky it didn’t do major damage.
I’m an equestrian. I’ve been riding for almost 13 years and horses are incredibly important to me. Thank you so much for checking on the horses and making sure they were ok and for checking to see if the gate was open.
Hands down, Hank is my favorite chaser! His soothing and calm commentary (plus the excellent footage) is a major factor in why I subscribed to his channel. Tornadoes are terrifying and mesmerizing at the same time. I don't want to hear Superbowl "energy" on tornado footage. Thanks, Hank. ❤
I live out in the woods. I have 9 acres of land. We have 4 racoons that come to visit regularly. I found out they love dog food. I can tell one of them is sick, they don't have distemper or showing signs of aggressiveness or anything but one of them has eye seepage in the left eye. He doesn't have missing fur or showing signs of a disease, it just looks like he has a cold. Is there anything I can give him as far as food to help him heal?
I actually had to make this exact decision for my only car: Cayman or Emira. As it’s my daily, practicality actually plays a role. The Emira is gorgeous and I would have loved to make it work. But where it really falls short compared to the Cayman is luggage space. The Cayman comfortably fits a medium sized suitcase in the frunk plus some additional luggage in the rear trunk. You can also load longer items through the hatch. Did several Ikea hauls with it and even fit a ladder in there for my home renovation. And while you can do all that, it’s still a blast on a mountain road. The package it offers is really unmatched in the sports car world.
The amount of people out there trying to catch a glimpse of these close up is getting pretty crazy and obviously dangerous...all the "tornado tourists" must be extremely frustrating for the actual scientists/veteran storm chasers etc. I'd love to experience some of these super cell storms/tornados up close...but I'm also not going to go out of my way to experience it and get in the way of these guys. Putting my own life and theirs at risk.
Unfortunately the earth does not rotate. We are fixed but the orbs in the sky do move. I know some of you will think it is a joke, but I’m serious. There are a few verses in the Bible that say the earth is fixed and immovable. Look up Michelson Morley experiment
