Hank, I'm an old fart weather nut. You have brought so much pure joy into my life that I just wanted to post a heartfelt "thank you" to you. You deserve the best, and I'm so happy for you that your work made it into a movie! Stay safe and keep bringing us into the eye of the storm. Happy Trails!

Inasmuch as I'm glad you're having fun with the Hollywood connection, I'm already satisfied with Hank's actual videos. Way more real and exciting than any Hollywood fiction.

Never heard of the movie til now, good to hear they used actual footage and not just cgi.

I know people think this movie is goofy and kinda stupid, but honestly I enjoyed it. There were some "uh, okay then" moments, but all in all it was entertaining. My brain kept yelling at me it's stupid you can't be enjoying this but I honestly did. What I like the most about this movie was the storm sequences, the lighting and atmosphere were really well done. If I were in that situation I honestly would be terrified. Plus the fact that this is mostly compositing is incredible. It made the movie feel "accessible" that it wasn't made on some huge multi-million dollar budget.

I am not surprised your videos made it into a Hollywood production. The quality of your work is very dramatic and technically very solid. It is already cinematic-ready. Look forward to seeing it here in Australia.

This looks incredible. As someone who's worked on a passion project for over 4 years, I totally get and respect the level of work that goes into something like this. Thank you for treating the audience like intelligent people by not cheaping out on details. Knowing Hank's footage is in this makes this so much better. And Skip Talbot is in it? That's awesome! I'm not a chaser - I live in CA, and you can't chase earthquakes - but I do have an interest in chasing and weather, so I'm at least familiar with the easter eggs mentioned. I know you're going to not like me saying I loved "Twister" (I was 15 when it came out - always loved storms. this movie kicked it into high gear), but I'm mentioning this because of one thing I noticed in Rabbit's truck; the protective goggles hanging behind him. The director thought to include that small detail of safety equipment that hardly anyone would notice. It's details like this that make make a difference. Sure, not everyone will notice it, but a lot of people will, and those people will have respect for the creator, because the creator had respect for them. "Where's the road, Rabbit?" is something I've been saying ever since. :)

This was a fantastic movie. It's great to see behind the scenes.

This movie is phenomenal! The fact that the time and effort were taken to pick out real and situationally appropriate sky footage throughout this film is deeply appreciated by those of us who have chased and stood in the midst of real supercells. It made this film absolutely believable and immersive. Not only that, but the radar and weather dialog are bang on. One of the character's descriptions of the storm breathing in and out was perfect for how these storms really behave as they cycle. Twister has been my no-contest all-time favourite tornado movie since I saw it in the theatre at age 11 but Supercell may have just displaced it. This film came from a place of love for storms and storm chasers and it shows, especially in the inclusion of Hank's footage and in Skip's cameo.

Damn it, I'm torn. As someone who works in the film industry and as someone who worked with Halyna Hutchins, I refuse to support anything that Alec Baldwin is associated with. On the other hand, this is such an incredible thing for you and I don't want to take away from that. Congrats Hank! This is awesome!

Now I'm looking forward to this. I haven't seen a storm movie since Into the Storm... I started on the movie Twister and binged watched it countless times.. at one point I could recite the movie from heart.. I also watched Night of the Twisters, Tornado! Atomic Twister and Storm Chaser - Revenge of the Twister (Which wasn't all that great after watching the others..) and I forgot the name of the PAX movie done... I love these types of movies most I always loved watching tornado videos and movies, just seeing people coming together to help each other after the storm is always inspiring

Hi, I may not know the most about tornadoes but i really enjoy watching your videos. I do have a suggestion for later storm chases. It would be really cool if you could have a live radar or map in one of the corners, but either way, the videos are amazing and you do it your way. But anyway, its my suggestion so you do what you do best.

Pecos is a legend

I was traveling home just now at 11:30pm and I just saw what I believe to be red sprites. They were very similar to the ones you’ve documented in your past videos. However this instance was so odd because I was driving with my high beams on and they seemed bright as day. Like they were right in front of my car. It was such an odd sight. Just figured I mentioned it to you since you were the first person I thought of when I saw them

Yay! I assume, though, that they've cut out all the bits where you're saving a frog or a snake from getting run over . . .

Taking the extra step to put Hank's footage in the film shows a great approach towards accuracy even with a "Hollywoodized" version. Kinda wish they'd done a little better job lighting the truck in the night chase part though. With a lot of years as a freelance texture artist and CG rendering as a whole, it may not jump out immediately to the layman audience member, but the light and gloss level was way too high for a midnight light level which is what betrays what time of day it was shot in. Either slack the paint with fine dust to matte reflections or more closely control on-set light reflections that affect vehicles.
