Any idea where i can get my Holden statesman 2004 WK/WL / Chevrolet caprice 2004 suspension? Will the vz suspension work on the statesman? Can you please share the link for purchase?
I bought my parts off eBay. The vz commodore suspension may be different to the caprice stuff. Definitely double check before ordering. The item description in the eBay ad should say if parts are suitable for your model

@@scottsshots3025 I took it out yesterday and pulled it apart, took the mount off and top plate lifted the strut out and found the shock has lost its seal, it's Only been on my car for about 8 months, 🤦 but I've ordered a new one now
My VZ Commodore has a strut noise just replaced a mount but the noise is still there, 🙄 coming from the strut, it sounds like someone hit metal with a mallet
Maybe a couple of mm at most. I’ve heard other people have the same issue as you. Does it drive fine with no clunking? Strut doesn’t move up and down if you have the front jacked up?
After doing my struts which were rooted amd replaced bump stop, bearing , strut top the top plate has a small gap and some movement, Is that normal, is bump stop free or positioned.

Mate I just brought the same brand webco but mine don't fit and look little different to the old ones . It's been a while since you done this video but can you recall the part number?
The where the dust cover slips over struts is cylinder like it does not go into like a cone shape and the dust cover won't go over the top mount plate . The dust cover is going into the top plate not over it giving me no where to zip tie it
the old story with things like this, replace the whole lot at the same time and you wont have to come back and do the next bit later ie shocks and springs. IMO
I replaced the shocks/struts at the same time as the strut tops, just over 2 videos. No need to change the springs unless you want to change the ride height 👍
Super uncommon to have an issue with a spring. You could take a measurement, on flat ground, from the underside of the front guard to the ground, vertically and compare both sides. Be sure to do it online with the centre of your wheel on both sides. Compare the measurement, should be same or very close to 👍
I’m not sure if this exact kit would fit a Chevy traverse, I’m not familiar with them. In fact this is the first time I’ve heard of a traverse as we have never had them in Australia. Your best off jumping on a suspension manufacturer or suppliers website and searching their database for a kit compatible with your make, model and year. Thanks for the comment, much appreciated 👌
thanks heaps for the video. I've actually bought the same shocks for my VZ Commodore Ute. What's the size of the hex to hold the strut still when turning the main nut off (15/16)? It seems to be 13/32 from what I can tell and I can't get hold of one anywhere to do my replacement. Using anything larger or smaller doesn't work
I have a 04 vz ls1 with a 3inch in centre with cats.....but m looking for a more deeper sound so i figured i go for either option 2.5inch cat back exhaust or a flow master with headers and leaves cats connected whst are your thoughts please.
I also have a vz SSZ that’s running a 2.5” stainless xforce cat back. It sounds really nice and deep. I’m pretty sure it has centre mufflers and hotdogs at rear. I’m installing extractors and high flow cats to it very soon so check out my vz videos to get an idea. Thanks for your comment
For sure. But this just shows there has always been a hooligan element, people doing the wrong thing etc. it’s just gotten more extreme as the show has grown, entrant and spectator numbers increase etc. along with the fact that everyone now has a camera and catches every second of sillyness

For sure. This year was definitely crazy. But this vid just shows Summernats has always been a bit rowdy. It’s obviously gotten progressively worse as the show grows in size with more spectators, entrants and horsepower than ever. Along with the fact everyone has a video camera in their pocket and is chasing views encouraging everyone to do the wrong thing
Insurance for the event will get more and more expensive with this sort of stuff posted everywhere. Then the entry fees go through the roof or noone will insure the event. Then shes game over
Unfortunately this the price that is paid from previous bad behaviour...It'll get cancelled out if the dickheads take over, which going by the news seems to be happening.
We got banned from the cruise routes two days in a row. First day we got a text saying ‘dangerous driving’ we turned the tyres for 1 second on the cruise route maybe 3 times in one lap following someone else who was doing it heaps so they parked us both up for the rest of the day. Second day we got a warning text and then a second text parking is up for the day. Both times we got texts we were parked and not even driving so am sure it was a mistake, spoke to event control and they said too bad park it up or get kicked out. Apparently there’s zero tolerance for turning tyres on the cruise route, yet we watched hundreds of others cars do it continually 🤷♂️ super disappointed it cost us so much drive time
We saw cars come out of skid row, NOT chiping the tyres but with residual smoke coming out the guards and bumper, then on main street they were booted. Not sure wtf wad happening this year. Is it true the cameras everywhere they're watching the cruise route for the tiniest chirp?
It was a fckn hilarious night, watching cop cars stuck in traffic going the wrong way. Then after running out of their maggot mobiles, they realised leaving them unattended might be a sh*t iea. So, they all ran back - and waited. I nearly shat myself filming them. Cheers.
