You could be right. They at least need to implement some changes. Or better utilise the space. I don’t know the answer but I’d hate to see the show shut down
@@blastermaster2383 the entrant cars aren’t the problem mate never have been, it’s the crowd control that is the issue and the way security handle them. Part of the solution would be to put up fencing along the concrete barriers like skid row to stop the crowd been able to access the road and mob the cars
Definitely could use a second skid row. Imagine having another skid row on the other side of tuff st. One for each side of the road. Would definitely free up the cruise route
I reckon another skid row, straight across tuff street, opposite the current one. Inside lane of cruise route uses existing skid row, outside lane uses the other one. Would be mint 👌
It was a fckn hilarious night, watching cop cars stuck in traffic going the wrong way. Then after running out of their maggot mobiles, they realised leaving them unattended might be a sh*t iea. So, they all ran back - and waited. I nearly shat myself filming them. Cheers.
I heard that based on this year's efforts they will be crushing cars next year. Inside the venue is one thing but some FHs took it out onto the public roads. Also heard alcohols restrictions will be introduced and alcoholic slushies banned. Act government is also considering slashing crowd numbers by 50%. We dont have anything like that in the US.
only way to fix this ,, open the skid pan to everyone , and make the cruise route 1 lane 1 way with high mesh fencing , that wont happen either as its basic common sence

The skids aren't the problem... it's the pelicans that keep walking all over the road and stepping in front of the cars. Put 10 foot high barriers up (i.e. 4 foot concrete + 6 foot mesh on top) with a few designated pedestrian crossing points with temporary traffic lights and security guards on lollypop lady duty so people can still cross the road safely without holding up the cars for too long at a time. That's assuming that Summernats is still a thing after this year lol
Insurance for the event will get more and more expensive with this sort of stuff posted everywhere. Then the entry fees go through the roof or noone will insure the event. Then shes game over
It’s not a good look. Unfortunately it’s the entrants who will suffer so to the stupidity of the small percentage of spectators who can’t control themselves
Be interesting to see what happens next year. I wont be surprised if they stop people cruising around inside given the liability issues the event organisers could face. Wait and see I spose.
