I like deterministic games, on championships with time on it, that matters a lot. Nadu being a gigantic mega turn deck makes you stare at the wall for 30min, with 3 ppl not having fun while you need to gather everything. That’s the only reason I’m so sad it’s released, because it doesn’t do everything with the “parcial” combo cards
I've never understood the ability of Opposition Agent, in the example of the video, I crack my fetch, then my opponent search for a land in my deck? or that person can search for anything in my deck because of the fetch? I'm sorry if it is obvious, but I get confused with the wording of the card
It says control them while searching, so you have to find a card that the search card can find. You do exile it and can cast it from exile regardless of what the card does though. demonic tutor and entomb are the same to opposition agent. Even gifts ungiven (though banned) is a quad tutor for op.
In the case of bloodstained mire they basically choose which mountain/swamp the other player gets as they still need to follow the wording as if they were the opposing player. It gets really mean for some cards like Farseek where you could choose to search their library for a basic land type that isn't there and "fail to find". (I.e. they play green, white, black and you say: "I'll search the library for a mountain" )
@@W0lfguard1997 that is not at all how that opposition agent works. first of all you exile the card that you find and don't put it in the zone that the tutor would put it in. second you don't declare a land type while searching with farseek you can however fail to find the card as long as it needs to have a certain charecteristic to not have to put a land into play
@@superyahoo1822 Right, I somehow managed to confuse myself. Reading the card explains the card. Failing to find wouldn't even be useful with the Agent. That's more a move for Mindslaver. And as long is a card states any characteristics, you can fail to find (all fetch lands and ramp) but not for the demonic tutors etc, correct?
OK am I crazy in thinking tymna/Helana is just not a partner pair that is worth sleaving. Even if you specifically don't want to play Blue Farm the classic Tymna/thrasisos or even tymna/tawna seem much better even if you want to make an Abzan deck you can throw in free counters, mystic and rystic or dockside, swat and breach with virtually no cost.
Why roll 4 dices at 09:17; 01 Krark, 01 Veyran and 01 harmonic prodigy should only make 3 triggers . And at 14:52 if it has 01 Krark, 01 Veyran and 02 harmonic prodigy should be only 4 triggers. Why Sakashima didin't entered as a copy of krark... as a copy of veyran... its just one more krark trigger.... as a copy of krark it's like 12 times more triggers at that time :(.
When Nadu has long non-deterministic turns with a chance to fizzle, people lose their minds and want it banned. But for however long Krark/Sakashima has been doing it, hardly a peep. Lol
At 18 minutes, the displacer kitten trigger on Arcane Signet at the bottom of the stack should not have resolved. Since being put on the stack the arcane signet had already been flickered with another kitten trigger which would fizzle the original abilities.
25:20 you missed the trigger from the One Ring giving yourself protection from everything, so actually you don't have protection at 33:45. The c in cEDH stands for competitive, so competitive rules enforcement level applies
@Thingsintheice can't believe I missed that! Always forget urborg and yavimaya when I'm mostly just listening. The way he announced it just caught me off guard 🤦♂️
Completely understand, noticed you hopped on it right after the fact and wasnt sure if there was another strategy in mind I was missing.Great win and another great video!
17 minutes in I see a summoning sickness nadu swing for damage and food chain mana used to cast the one ring. I’m sure all the cards are good when you cheat 😬😬
you guys totally love what you are doing and I love it ! If I may allowed to drop a hint the music at the beginning was a liddle bit loud. keep on rocking!
The good: shared enthusiasm for flips and reveals off of Nadu was infeciouns and fun. It's obvious y'all are friends and also content creators. The bad: Nadu at a random table with a random person you haven't played with much looks to play miserable: "Is it second trigger?" "I can't remember, dude, you've drawn 13 and played five lands, I stopped paying attention five minutes ago". It's a solo play deck that demands attention or immediate concession if there are no answers, but a deterministic win isn't presented because you *could* spend 10 minutes just to watch a whiff. Thanks for the video, keep up the great work. I hope I don't see Nadu at any casual tables.
It wasn't long into the first game that we realized we needed zone tokens or a dedicated playmat to track things that have been targeted 0, 1, or 2 times. It gets ugly quick, kinda like that much card advantage gets ugly quick!
You could activate Sylvan Safekeeper twice for each creature if you wanted to (that turn before culling ritual), just do the second activation before the ability resolves and the creature gets shroud
Grear video! I loved seeing the RogThras player's win attempts. I'm pretty sure he tried more than once before he finally won. But... wouldn't be a better idea to activate Kinnan instead of Thrasios? I think it was pretty lucky to find Manglehorn as his first draw. Either way a win is a win and he definitely did great (as well as the others) GGs!
