Kyle and Shaun completely trolled with their interaction. Blowing a force of will to save Sauron isn’t worth letting Kinnan get cast when basalt is on the field. Blowing a dispel on ensuring Sauron bounce instead of Basalt is basically game throwing. Then Shaun elects to copy chain to bounce his wishclaw instead of ensuring basalt bounce. Horrible play tbh.

I see where you are coming from. I will say, Jeremy has played Basalt so many times and done nothing with it. Without a way to convert the colorless mana it can spin it's wheels. I think they were on a wait and see plan, which didn't end up working out. We totally missed bouncing the basalt with chain though. Sorry for the play but mistakes happen and that's how you learn to play better.
