You should be patting yourself on the back! I am continually amazed at your attention to detail, you don't leave anything out! This is very good! Thank you for showing us what that little bottle was, I was wondering what it was and was going to ask. TFS 😊
Albert and I just watching you sort papers. I’ve been sewing this afternoon, so my cat and I are relaxing. I’ve been retired over 25 years and still not bored😂❤️
Stunning cards, just gorgeous. The bags are too cute. Box bottom bags/pouches are lovely. Thanks for sharing everything. You are too, too, busy; but wonderfully crafty.
Interesting papers and colours in there Sue ...and I remember your lovely lapbook (last year?) had oriental elements in it too. Look forward to next part. Thank you🌻💕
It was me who sent all the Japanese paper. I recognized my writing on the post it notes. I went to Japan in Dec’18 when my son was living there and I was still doing paper crafts. That big black and gold bird is from a calendar. After knee replacements in April ‘19, I totally lost interest in paper crafting. Is was quilting before paper and still is with slow stitching as well now.
No Marianna, I was waffling like a lunatic so cut the sound for this one, really must get around to subscribing to paid for music, that way I can overlay it! sorry if that was annoying
Thanks for showing what you did in your "week off"! I loved your signature bags. I have quit a few and they are versatile and last well. Love the different fabrics.
My goodness you were very productive on your week off Suzie! I love all of your makes, the cards and the bags and the vinyl fronted bags which gives me an idea what to do with a panel I bought😀 I am also making Terry blocks very gradually with my scraps and hope to make a quilt with them when I have a few hundred more!! My scraps never seem any less no matter what I do with them, I think they breed in the boxes I keep them in😂💕
I know that feeling of breeding scraps Elizabeth, I swear they multiply like gremlins! I enjoyed making the Terry blocks, so fun to put fabrics together, some clashed, which I liked, some were more subtle, I think there will be more in the future!
Wow, you certainly were mighty busy, I can't believe you're able to accomplish that in one week. That would take me months, maybe a whole year. I'm very slow, and I prefer not to use any of the 3 sewing machines in my room. 😂😅 I don't know why I have the 3rd one but the other 2 are 1paper and one for fabric. But I like to get all comfy and relaxed and sew, I've yet to find a reclining sewing chair 😅 it's all very lovely! I like the idea of putting small slow stitch pieces on card fronts. TFS 😊
I do like to keep busy Kimberley, and as much as I enjoy hand sewing I simply don't have the time so finishing on the machine is for me! I too have 3 sewing machines, just no room to have them all out!
@@suzieqmakes oh, I totally understand, I would get so much accomplished if I were to use them more. It's more of a physical thing with me and my health. I don't get to craft neatly as much as I used to be able to do. But there's always hope.
It looks fantastic, I really enjoyed this one tonight. Partly because I was just moving my moms tea set from when she was a little girl into my antique kitchen hutch she left me. I have a hard time sometimes when doing something with her belongings but tonight was a good, happy thoughts time and your video just topped it off! TFS 😊
Its the Art Glitter glue brand Isobel (I got mine on Amazon) you buy the metal tips for the bottles separately, its a really good glue although expensive!
You are such fun to watch and listen to, I always learn something new (albeit not always about stitching). :) I'm not champing at the bit to get started on the next volume of stitchery, I'm unlikely to ever find an Edith Holden book within my budget and there have been quite a number of channels which have already finished projects with her books as inspirations. I have a number of other projects in the queue and in the WIP/UFO pile. I just finished my first hexi/penta bowl, thank you for the instructions, it was great fun.
Im on the edge about the new Roxy project too Olive, I have 2 Edith books but im not sure about what they are intending to make, I liked the last projects because they were useful, we shall see. Like you I have enough projects on the back burner to keep me going anyway!
Love the flowers and of course listening to you. I have travelled a lot with my husband, friends and family over the years. But now I am on my own with Albert my Burmese to keep me company I’m content to be at home. Susan do take the opportunity to take a little holiday if at all possible. A craft retreat might be nice, you meet people with the same interests as yourself and you never stop chatting. It’s surprising who you may meet.😊❤️🐱
Thanks Shelia, yes I thought of a craft retreat but its the cost of them that stops me, some are very expensive! its all for the future hopefully, god willing I have a lot more years!
The purple is really nice on the pink. I only did the Roxy pouch and am just finishing the vessel. Mine is a box made of squares from Annie’s swap. I won’t be doing the next one, not my thing. I have so many projects on the go from quilts to slow stitching items. Travelling is out for me now unless it is local road trips. The Toronto airport is a nightmare now.
Thanks Sue, yeh the next Roxy project isnt going to be my thing, at least I don't think it will be, I will wait until they do their first video then decide, travelling is something I'm interested in but I do love my craft room and don't feel like I'm missing out on too much, but of a home bod!
