Your yarn bowl is looking good. Looking forward to the next video to see what you do with the flowers. I had cataract surgery 4 weeks ago. It's amazing. I can see out of my left eye again. The right eye is still good. Probably won't have to get it done for at least a year. As usual, love your videos keep them coming.
Yeh Connie, I'm struggling with the fine vision now, especially when its dark fabric or dark in my room, I'm not at the stage of needing surgery yet so will struggle on! I'm glad to hear surgery is successful, will need it in the future I expect!
Your yarn bowl is looking lovely! My favourite pins are Clover appliqué pins, they are small but super sharp 😊 Received my hexi bowl templates and punchinella stencils thank you, so am looking forward to starting my bowl, plus some gel printing with my new punchinella stencils! X
Thanks Helen, good to know everything arrived safe and sound, I have the Clover pins so maybe I will just use those, however, I would like some that are a bit longer. Get going with that gelli printing!
Susan, this is really cute. I had no idea Anchor made wool. I’ve not seen it in any of the stores around here. I have finally found a knit shop that carries Appletons and I’m over the moon! 🌙. Picked up some new ones today (but I can’t stitch at the moment 😢). I’m with you on the Roxy project - don’t know that I’ll do it because I don’t want to make a journal. I like to make useful things or wall art. Martha.
Yes I'm with you on the useful stuff Martha, I wish I could just make stuff for the sake of it but my practical mind takes over! Appleton wools are wonderful aren't they? really enjoying using mine.
You are such fun to watch and listen to, I always learn something new (albeit not always about stitching). :) I'm not champing at the bit to get started on the next volume of stitchery, I'm unlikely to ever find an Edith Holden book within my budget and there have been quite a number of channels which have already finished projects with her books as inspirations. I have a number of other projects in the queue and in the WIP/UFO pile. I just finished my first hexi/penta bowl, thank you for the instructions, it was great fun.
Im on the edge about the new Roxy project too Olive, I have 2 Edith books but im not sure about what they are intending to make, I liked the last projects because they were useful, we shall see. Like you I have enough projects on the back burner to keep me going anyway!
The new Roxy project is all stitching, just inspired by the Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady books. I might do it,mainly because it’s going to be very botanical with a lot of British wildlife which might be fun 😊 like you, I need to see what they do in the first video to get inspired.
