Did you install the thermostatic control valve behind that wall access panel? Code requirement where I live and I think all of US. The inspector told me most people tap off the sink plumbing for the freestanding tub water supply so the thermostatic valve for the tub is installed in the bathroom vanity. Just having the mechanical stop at the tub filler doesn't pass inspection. There must be a valve to stop the flow of hot water if the cold water is lost. I am curious because I need to find a place for the valve and my walls are all closed, tiled and the floor is tiled. Yes the inspector should have caught this at rough in inspection but they didn't.
I like this idea. I'm using this method to get under our freestanding tub for deck-mounted fixtures. It will much easier to service when necessary. You must be from South Louisiana or eastern Canada. We have lot's of Doucet's here in the Acadiana area of Louisiana. We pronounce it as Do-say. The Do is pronounced as if you are asking, "how do you do this?".
Hey there! You are right on about Eastern Canada, I’m from Quebec but my ancestors are from New Brunswick. I guess my accent is hard to hide. Happy my video was useful. Hopefully I never remove my tub in my lifetime …
So you used abs pipe? Then cemented overtop with a box at the end flush with the concrete floor that the faucet will mount and screw into? Noice.. im gonna go that route myself except using an insulated 4” with insulation wrapped around the hoses.. and a trap instead of a box so the thing will bolt on with a twist lock.. thanks bub
Thank you for the video. We need one more thing...We purchased a floor mounted tub filler from a seller on eBay. Manufactured in China. Instructions that were included were for some other faucet. PROBLEM -- The faucet has a thick plastic box, mostly encasing the area just below the faucet to protect it in shipping. Have no idea how to get in off. We messaged the seller on eBay and the response made no sense. We suppose they are not good at English. Does anyone know the answer to getting the plastic shipping bracket/case off?
@@07on26 so update what i did for mines was go to a local plumbing store not the home depot they sell the longer ones and if they dont have it or sell it you can conect other supply lines to your existing one to make it longer and it worked great
hello there, I used 1 1/2 ABS and it works when the Speedways are a little offset. 2in would also work ....depending on the bottom of your faucet/tub filler
Thank you buddy I was told by glacier bay to build a pedestal… didn’t want that next to my tub. Had no idea what to do with the extra 13inches of hose. Thanks again this should do the trick
Why not put the tank to even higher pressure and use an 80 PSI regulator, that way the tank will only need to be turned on occasionally? Also. Wouldn't the water cool down when misted?
A lot depebds on the maximum working pressure of the accumulator but its always best to use a pressure reducer set to the minimum tank pressure to ensure a constant flowrate from the nozzles. Evaporative cooling relies on relatively dry air and airflow, the RH% in the barrels will always be high and there`s very little airflow ;)
Merci pour ces éclairages. C'est vrai qu'on a toujours tendance quand on débute à mettre trop de farine sur le plan, surtout avec les pains haute hydratation !
I wouldnt recommend using any plant that grows more than 12"-15" tall in a barrel system unless you provide external support. If you plant mange tout (snow peas?) in the bottom sites you can train them to grow up and around the barrel. I tie loops of string around the barrel at intervals (not too tight) and tuck the plants behind them as they grow The side shoots latch onto the loops and spread sideways and eventually latch onto other shoots to form a natural support net They are super productive and provide local shade and humidity which is very beneficial to short term crops like lettuce which have to be replanted throughout the season. The seedling survival rate is much higher with mange tout foliage protection than without.
Hello Atom Izer, thank you for these practical suggestions. Being in QC, Canada, I will reorganize the barrels in the spring and will definitely apply your ideas when we start the seeds before Spring. Any other ideas are welcomed and appreciated, Happy growing
@@renovatech I`d suggest using a coolbox (igloo etc) for the reservoir or burying an uninsulated reservoir in the ground to keep it cool. I`m surprised your white bucket isnt green with algae, you must be cleaning it regularly :) For recirculated hpa, i`d recommend a 250 mesh filter if you can find one. It looks like you are using biocontrol impingement misting nozzles which have a faily large orifice.
@@jessesaitoo The biocontrol nozzles are ok but considering the price they could be better..The stated flowrate is nowhere near accurate and mist pattern they deliver isnt 360deg as you might expect. Unless the QC has improved your likely to get a few dud`s so order extra and dont be surprised if you need to send a few back. The main issue is the nozzles are made of plastic and the correct function hinges on the perfect alignment of the orifice and impingement pin.
Je te vois apparaître 😊 Of all people! Small world, even online 😉
Tanya Thomas 🤣🤣 C’est exactement la même situation qui m’a fait filmer ce vidéo pour Marie-Claude B. de Dolbeau. Et comme c’était trop gros pour l’envoyer par texto, on l’a mis ici. Small world!! 🤪
