I pressure and vacuum test every engine I build !!!! Chainsaws , snowmobiles, dirt bikes, any two stroke engine I build gets tested !!! Or I don't send it out the door
Now to be fair not all piston manufacturers sent ligature on ring gaps and other instructions, i personally can say im surprised i bought wossner piston kit for one of my snowmobiles and not instructions at all.
My daughter's boyfriend installed a pyramid reed set up from Duncan racing in my daughter's Yamaha blaster. He forgot or never thought to rejet....I believe it ran too lean. It has a full port n polish and 34mm intake along with a 34mm mikuni carb, it had a 10.3:1 piston. Installing a wisco pro lite piston this time. I'm sure it will loose a little hp. My question is any aftermarket exhaust pipe do you recommend? To help reclaim some hp?
Love my HJR, dune-ported Banshee but it surely didn't love me. Shee threw me off & went solo into the trees but the power it delivered was surely life threatening & intoxicating....but now I have more repairs:( Good times!
@@herrjugsracing7816 thanks for replying sir. Say, I have a 1995 all stock chassis machine, all matching numbers/title (1owner me) W/ONLY aftermarket pipes and cool head. It’s been sitting for around 17yrs. Its got 185 compression on both sides mostly because I fogged the engine before I parked it. I gave it a well deserved bath and when I took the seat off I noticed duck-tape on the snorkel tube (good idea) and the air filter looks just as I remembered.. new!! BUT when I touched it the damn thing FELL TO PIECES.. so I go to cycle craft inc where I bought it and they are NOT THERE ANYMORE (big surprise) but throttle monkey custom cycles is. Regardless but none the less got a new filter and 5gal 110fuel mixed it up 100ml to 1gal (37:1) approx. and it started rite up but the clutch isn’t disengaging so it shuts the engine down when I put it in gear. Should I just change the transmission oil and roll-start it and hopefully it kicks something loose because it was perfect when I parked it.
Have the same warning on my 20 redeye, i also have the stage 2 kit , and it was the 2nd Temecula did , they fixed it also, but still get that "service active stearing dampening system sometimes
"I need to know how much horsepower you wanna make?" I used to give my customers the option. You pick the parts and get what you get or tell me how much horsepower you want, and I'll pick the parts. Haha. Great video.
Also in San Diego, have a redeye charger. Was considering the Direct Connect Stage II install out in Temecula as well to avoid any state referals with emissions complianance. Though, based on your dealer experience and your car meet video lining up with the goofy gremlin decal charger on the freeway. Honestly looks like the factory tune doesn't pack the advertised punch. Would you recommend it?
The stage II isn’t a great tune kit. The car is faster overall but the 60 foot suffers as a drag racer. It is all top end. Only got a tenth better out of it in the 1/4 mile. That Charger in the video is putting down 1000 hp. I might be putting down 800 hp. The Charger is clearly faster.
Just got my first banshee love it wish i would've found this video 2 months ago just put a whole new top end in. Now i can do it and see the difference. You ever run any banshees with the chariot 2-1 carb setup that's what this is paid 700$ for the quad just had broken reeds lol
That was an enjoyable video. You are really getting better every video. What is Gary’s Model? Redeye or Super Stock. I miss racing because they closed Palm Beach International Raceway that used to be Moroso Racetrack.
The chiller cools the coolant for the blower and cools the air & makes the air more dense. Their is also a track cool down when the car is off for perfect air temperature on m Redeye. Every video you are getting better. Drag racing takes a lot of practice just like anything else you do.
Much better than your last video. Practice,Practice,Practice I just got my 2022 Challenger Widebody Redeye and it takes a while to learn the car,its limits,my limits, what it does in multiple ways. You’re doing great 👍. I’m 58 & have driven some fast cars & been in some fast cars but the Redeye is amazing.
All wrong! I had the same issue when I had Lodi CDJR install my stage 2 kit in my Redeye! Lost all boost and come to find out it’s a faulty pulley. You may have to settle for the stage 1 kit.
Are the Athena cylinders any good? And if there is too much side to side play in the rod Will that knock out the wrist pin bearing there is no up and down play?
Another nice build vid. Are the aftermarket carbs like Lectrons really worth the money 💰? I'm going to guess NO, but I don't know anything like you do!!!!
Glad that the RU-vids finally decided to throw you up in my feed. I follow you on Instagram and obviously I could have sought you out on here but I just never got around to it. I'm glad RU-vid finally threw you in my direction. Nice work. Definitely a new subscriber, "liked" and commentor for Mr/Mrs Algorithm whoever the heck they are!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Megatron797 yeah buddy, this isn’t the first time that I’ve heard about this but that’s what warranties are for. That said, I’m glad that I still have my Stage 1 for now….
@herrjugsracing7816 awesome video, I'm building a yammagamma (an RG250 gamma chassis with an RD350ypvs) is 421cc the biggest you can go without machining the crankcase? and what kit would you recommend for a street bike application?
That is correct. I like the 421 cub or cheaper alternative do the 421 Athena. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4gU6SGVAMDw.html&pp=ygUSQmFuc2hlZSA0MjEgQXRoZW5h
I cant belive no one was out there. Ive never see that anymore. But i had the same problem about flat spots on power band. Belive it or not i geared down my front sproket one tooth and it helped.
I'd like to find a IT490 to install in a yamaha blaster. If you find one let me know. Thank you. But open to other air cooled options, idk what's your take on the old RD400 for a blaster if given a full port n polish? Like to stick with 91 octane
