That is a very clean motorcycle with extremely clean internals. I am curious why the oil injection delete. I have a garage full of RZ's. All retain the pump.
Why get rid of the oil injection? I could understand if its going to be a race bike but for the street it much more convenient to use oil injection. The oil tank lasts for 4 or so tanks of gas before you have to refill it. Would suck to have to carry oil and a measuring cup and mix it every time.
I love the ritual of mixing in the tank and shaking the crap out of my bike a few times before I go. It's like a good luck charm. I could put the injector back on and forget about it but then I would miss this little part of my day as well as the odd looks I get at the pump. It's almost like taking the vinyl out of the sleeve and taking a moment to appreciate the cover art before putting on a killer record vs pressing play on a flac file. I always keep an oil container with a built in measuring cup at the top in my bag so it's a non-inconvenience for me. I guess I'm just one of those weirdos but we have our reasons.
@@sethanderson9931 I have 2 that are running VM30's with Uni foam pod filters. These are ported with after market reeds. One with JL pipes and the other with Toomeys. Next engine (should be rebuilding spring or summer 0f '24) may get a set of 32 flat sides I have in stock or yet another set of VM30's. I have never used lectrons so unable to comment.
