I have over 58.5M hits & 100k+ subscribers! I film mostly TRAINS but I do occasionally find interesting things from upper Michigan like waterfalls, historic places, mines, mushrooms, exploring Lake Superior beaches, hunting emberlites aka Yooperlites, camping, snowmobile racing, pine mountain ski jumps, etc. I've had a few viral videos which have been on TV many times including CNN, FOX, The Travel Channel, Discovery and just recently A&E! I belong to the Kiwanis Ski Club (Pine Mt Ski Jump) and I'm also on our local Dickinson County Board for the Fumee Lake Natural Area near Iron Mountain, MI.

You should see the drivers in North Carolina particularly Charlotte, no direction lights, passing whenever the Hell they want!

Nicely built, note the loads in front of the empties! Not! As for the ballast cars, yah plus the weed sprayer and a tamper/surfacing gang

😂 what a tease. Probably storing them for CN and now CN is doing track maintance. Only real railroads maintain their trackage. ELS is a JOKE. They'll really be screwed if they have a accident like East Palestine Ohio. Nice catch Jason.

There are a lot of crossings like that with just lights and there are still some crossings with just stop signs on main tracks.

Crazy. You don't know how fast that train is moving and you pull out in front with just a quick glance. I'm surprised there's no bars that lower, most places near me have them.

Another great video, Jason! "Leave 'em wanting more", good way to bring up the viewer count! Will they fill those ballast cars? Will that broken pole ever get fixed? Will the E&LS ever upgrade their right-of-way? And a question - isn't it good RR practice to put your loads up front with your empties trailing? That way, in case of hard braking (or derailment), you don't have the heavy stuff pushing on the light stuff. I do know there are hazardous loads that may affect consist placement. When they deliver submarine nuclear reactors to Electric Boat here in Groton, CT. there are spacer cars in front of and behind that one flatcar. Somebody please enlighten me if I'm wrong.

Last week Thursday I went "up North" to Marinette Co., WI along U.S. 141, which largely parallels, and in two spots crosses, the ELS tracks. I also drove down several back roads that cross the tracks. And if I didn't know better, I would have sworn these tracks were out of service or abandoned, they were so dilapidated and overgrown (though not being used for several days because of the derailment in Stiles I'm sure didn't help). Rather depressing to see.
