I finished the third game for the first time early this year, didn't think it was that good overall, hopefully the fourth game is a lot better if it does happen.

This was something I gave up on a LONG time ago. So, this is surprising news. I hope they stay true with everything they hinted at about it in Gabriel Knight 3. Based on that, Gabriel Knight 4 will be about ghosts in India. Grace will be there with that guy in the postcard, who will be training her to be a Schattenjager. Grace will also be pregnant, so we will learn whether or not she can still do this. We know that Gabriel got her letter, so presumably he will go there to look for her. At least that's what I hope. If that's not what it's about, I'll have problem with it right from the get-go. As for the voice acting, Tim Curry, Leah Remini, and Mark Hamill are still alive. But, the following have gone: Virginia Capers (the incoherent narrator) Mary Kay Bergman (Gerde) Linda Gary (Grandma) Efrem Zimbalist Jr. (Wolfgang)
It's not even the only bad puzzle or design flaw in that game. There are several stupid things. Like having to wait in the streets to see cars or mopeds go by (and how would you know to do that?), or the fact that you have to talk to Grace on the walkie talkie WHILE YOU ARE FIGHTING A DEMON in order to get full points, which is almost impossible to do without dying.
@@ChristopherBingham-xx8xl As far as I gathered, it is impossible without dying, just because they don't let you defend yourself while you're talking. But if you die doing that, you get to keep your points after you press retry. Still, there's rough spots in all 3 games, and we love them in spite of that - well, some of us love the 3rd one, the cat mustache is nuts, but I somehow muddled through it without help - took a good while. Personally #3 is my favorite - I might be the only person who feels that way. I still hope it gets novelized some day.
I bought and played the remake thing for the first one. A bit disappointing. I'm all in if she comes back. I wish you could patch in the original voices

Maybe you should have asked if Margot needs any help in washing. Then they could start playing saxophone music. After all, maybe they might have taken inspiration from Larry as well as Laura. 😉😂🤣 But I just had a thought, with all this talk about birds, wouldn't it be weird if it turns out the birds took off with the diamond. This game has misspellings. "Jewelry" is frequently spelled wrong. And what is "Ensuite?" The game lets you just walk into the bathroom while Margot is in there taking a bath? She doesn't lock the door?
Ensuite is a room that is connected to another room. So the walk in closet connected to the bedroom or the bathroom connected to the bedroom is an en-suite.
"Jewellery" is the correct spelling outside of US English. As this game is set in Canada, I assume the creator is also Canadian and is using UK spelling. An ensuite is usually a small bathroom connected to a bedroom.
Playing computer/video games is one of my favorite things to do when I'm sick. It doesn't require much physical effort. And you can drink fluids while doing so, provided you're careful not to spill anything onto your keyboard or monitor or any part of the computer. I wonder if there is an Easter egg that references anything other than Laura Bow. There seems to be no Cedric Easter egg. 2:34 Yeah, these kinds of games have a lot to remember. You're supposed to remember everybody's names and every important fact about them. It gets overwhelming, especially the first time. It gets easier with subsequent playthroughs.
So wait a second, the caretaker of the lodge is named Jack? Wonder if he's writing a book. If so, maybe it just says, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." 😉 But seriously, this may be no Laura Bow, but does seem to be a fun fill in, at least until the official Laura Bow sequel gets made. I don't even know how pencil would give you smudges on your hands. Yes, Antwerps are the bouncing things in Quest For Glory. If you play Heroine's Quest and you find it, you'll also learn it's a city in Belgium (it's an Easter egg that can show up on the screen with the rock that turns out to be a person. In that game, you can't do anything with it except find out what the game says if you look at it, try to touch and, and talk to it). We assume that the game means that he's from the city in Belgium. Then again, maybe he just got on top of an Antwerp and it bounced him all the way here: just like that game where you travel to Las Vegas by getting on top of that thing at the carnival and the guy uses his mallet to get you there. She didn't exactly look naked when you told her to get naked. She was wearing a pink dress. Ah yeah, the shower death. When I played Laura Bow, I thought it was the most ridiculous death I had ever seen. Turns out it might not even have been the most ridiculous death in that game. Other ridiculous deaths included a chandelier falling on top of you, and an empty closet that could sometimes have a murderer in it. I'm surprised the game just ignored the "Now please." I thought typing in those extra words would cause the game to not understand what you wanted to do. Can you lock the door in Laura Bow and take a shower in peace? Whitney Houston wasn't even born when this game takes place. Nancy wouldn't have understood what that meant. Also, you wouldn't be falling asleep in the shower just like her because she hadn't done that yet. In that scenario, we'd be saying that Whitney Houston died in the shower just like Nancy Maple did, not vice-versa. At least this game lets you eavesdrop without having to find secret passages.
I think the reason some people didn't like this game is because there are a lot of skippable details that help with the story. These would be missed if you rush through it.
So her name is Crabbe, what about Goyle? Is he too busy hanging out with Draco Malfoy? 😉😂🤣 Yeah, Harry Potter was the first thing I thought of when I saw that name. And with how much she's chowing down on those almonds, something that Crabbe and Goyle would do at Hogwarts. But anyways, been enjoying it, and funny they actually did a Psycho reference in this game. I swear, I did not know they would be doing that when I made that comment on the first video. And thank you for this.
Ah yes, asking everybody about everybody, and then doing it all over again every time there was a new act. Now I remember why I lost all desire to play Laura Bow until I got a perfect score, which is normally what I do in adventure games.
Margot may seem nice, but we all know how she reacts when her neighbor puts up the Christmas lights. 😉😂🤣 So hopefully you made it to the bathroom in time. 😂🤣 And still enjoyed this, even if you only got to talking to 2 people. Thank you for this.

I don't like that it has 80's graphics in modern times. And the game doesn't have voice acting. Although to be fair, your voice acting is better than the Laura Bow 2 voice acting, so maybe that's a good thing. And... MY GOD! What a RIDICULOUSLY long introduction! But I like the music. If there are multiple endings, I hope you show them. I expect that because both Laura Bow games did. Quite a contrast with that one. The first bad ending is only mildly worse than the good ending (1 extra person dies and it's someone who wasn't nice to you, big whoop), while the 2nd bad ending is REALLY bad. 3:56 Yeah, but I just watched a video about banned Simpsons episodes and that was one of them. Because that's the Michael Jackson episode. Some people think he is Gary Glitter/Ian Watkins/Jared the subway man, although he wasn't convicted like they were so we'll never know. Although the odd thing is, I've seen all of those "banned" episodes. The only one that I ever had difficulty with was the New York one, because I discovered the show shortly after 9/11 happened, but they eventually lifted that ban and I did eventually see it. I think the others in the video may have just been banned in some parts of the world. 6:53 I'm pretty sure they weren't. Yeah, sexism was a big thing in Laura Bow 2, too. They make these games realistic for the times they are set in. 15:48 No, that's in Belgium I don't think "Cormorants" is that difficult of a word to pronounce. Emphasize the first syllable.

I mean, I much prefer the graphical style of LB 2 (or something more recent than that even) over 16-color ega, but all things considered I can understand why the dev used this. It’s pretty classic & I loved LB 1 so much that I’m fine with it. The text-parser is actually what kind of bugs me more than anything. Very time-consuming…but I’m playing the game on my Steam Deck, so maybe that’s why. All in all, Colonel’s Bequest is one of my all-time favorite games and the release of this is really exciting to me. 🍻
Hopefully she at least has her purse, so whenever she finds something she could pick it up and place it in her purse. 😉 Also, be careful while in the shower, specially if you see someone who looks like the guy who brought you there wearing a dress and a gray hair wig carrying a kitchen knife. 😂🤣 Yeah, does seem like it had Laura Bow as an influence in making this game. But enjoyed the first part. Thank you for this.
