I know your pain man! If it makes you feel any better; An EVO in Ireland would cost 2500+ EURO for road tax alone...Don't have road tax? Cops take the car. Can't afford the impound fee? You got four weeks before they sell or crush it - And believe me, they will crush or sell it!! Plus we have more road tax added into the price of fuel, which is about 1.40 per liter of petrol. Insurance would be 6k+ if any company would take it (Most won't) Insurance is considerably more if ANY of the following : young/first policy/learner driver/previous accident(s)/previous penalty point(s)/previous fine(s)/low credit score/fast cars/etc Insurance is currently so expensive that most cars in Ireland are either 1.9< diesel, or 1.6< petrol engines. I'm so sick of seeing VW Passats/Golfs and BMW 320d's!
