Great video, I have had the same bike since 2022 and agree with all your views. The only thing I've found annoying is the depreciation, but that's life, I suppose.
I'm glad my views seem accurate and my first thoughts on the bike were spot on. I'm loving the bike and have just fitted Oxford heated grips to it. Didn't film it unfortunately but not too difficult to do. Ah depreciation ! It's a curse on all bikes but will only be an issue if I sell it. It's staying for the foreseeable future. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment.
The screen takes most of the wind away. You still get some wind to your face but it is clean air without any buffeting. For me I got the angle just right first time and did not have to adjust. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
Nice video, i like that you haven't edited out any of the awkward moments trying to get the screen on, makes it much better to see what we will be dealing with ourselves when we come to fit it.
Glad to be of help. It would be wrong to practise fitting the screen and look all professional. I admit I'm a mere mortal. Thanks so much for watching and your kind comments.
Good review but dreadful wind noise. And that was you just walking slowly in the park ... I could hardly hear you speak at one point. Why did you overdub with music on your scooter ride ? I use my GA420 on my motorcycle with128gb sd card. Also suffers a little wind noise at higher speeds. But then I plug in my external MIC and virtually zero wind noise. I like to hear my bike when I'm going along not fake music. If I want music I'll turn on the radio. IMHO no point calling it an action camera if it suffers badly from wind noise ? The external MIC is a game changer. Hey, I'm not having a go at anyone, just my personal experience. Regards :)
Most action cams suffer wind noise. I put the music on it as it was loud on the scooter ride. I should have tested the external mic and maybe tried vlogging when riding the scooter, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. I'm glad the ext mic is working for you. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Glad to be of help. I've got nearly 2000 miles on it now and I'm really enjoying the bike. If you take the plunge I'm sure you'll enjoy it. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for watching.
Nice. Have my gt+ in the other blue owned it for 18 months. Used to be inside elbows killing me and nearly bought straighter bars but voight bar risers saved the day allowing me to roll the shoulders back and sit a bit more upright weight off the upper body. Then my uncomfort moved to the seat. My seat is uncomfortable after 2 hours which is fine and looking to maybey send it for modification. But i reckon its the mid range lean running vibration that eventually numbs my bits. ( I reckon this is lean / hot to help work cat quicker to temp / emmisions/ and help fuel range. But i have a plan. Mine is in for the warranty and when i get it back. Provided everything is good. My cs racing full exhaust will arrive soon. I will install my sprint filter. I already have servo motor delete. Will then lastly get it dyno tuned not for top end figures or anything like that ( its quick enough for what it is) but to smooth out the dips in air fuel ratio so it runs smoother and cooler in the mids. There by oil temp may lower a bit to help the tensioner hot starts / dialled in for longevity / exhaust will sound deeper and drown out some of the potential tappetty characteristics of this engine. Bit of weight saving. I have an abba stand ....very handy to work on bike upright . If your after more top end figures then youve bought the wrong bike lol. Ive fitted a scotoiler/ oxford heated grips with integrated control/ bar risers / gt tank pad / quad lock mount. To consider Wheel decals / maybey taller screen / rad guard/ frame sliders/ Fit a remote PAIR inhibit to turn on / off easily . For fun and for longer runs plus can fit the db killer too. Rear shock upgrade Then when time comes tyre and brake pads upgrade yet im the same feel brakes are good ( its not a sport bike) and pi$$ed off all the reviewers copying each ithers patter saying they are wooden?? Maybey they have crap forearms lol Enjoy!
Thanks so much for a really detailed comment of what you think of the bike. Coming from an adventure style bike I did find the riding position quite leaned forward but I have got used to it now 2 months later. I have considered bar risers but on my last run out I found the sitting position quite acceptable, so I think so far I'll leave it. I have put a Chinese screen extender on the screen and it has taken most of the blast away. A handy mod for less than a tenner. I have no plans for a pipe as I find most raise the peak torque up the rev range. I tend to ride mostly on the midrange so I am happy with standard. The exhaust note of the standard pipe is quite nice and is loud enough. As I have said on the video that the brakes are fine for me and they are great in town as it is not trying to throw you over the bars. Plenty of power when grasped a little bit harder. The standard tyres are ok for me as I'm no racer. I'm sure I will do more mods over time but no plans as yet. The standard bike is not bad at all. Keep enjoying your bike as much as I am.
I have a deck tour to come on the Explorer soon. I was on the Explorer 2 in February and there are videos on my channel for that ship which may be of interest, but they are both very similar with only a few differences. I hope that helps.
Which amplifies the cam lobe slap hence the fix is to adjust valve clearances to take up the play to a bare minimum. Could hopefully install a last gen cct and look at the oil supply to cap it off at a later date
Excellent again Gary. Alarming left tilt on the ice cream. Perhaps the garage owners could add a smidgion of the old 'V' when squirting it out of the machine. Might keep it upright a little longer.😆
Thanks Victor. It can certainly take a while to edit a video but you find tricks to help you along. It is good fun though. Thanks for watching and it's great to have you on board. Take care my friend.
Thanks for that. So far it seems a great bike. I have had lots of 125s in my time. I find a 125cc scooter great fun and a modern one will get to 70mph which is great for most trips. 125cc motorbikes are harder work than the scooters as the automatic on the scooter makes it so much easier.
Last year, I got a telephone call about money that I'd transferred from my bank current account to a savings account with a different provider. I've had a standing order set up for a number of years to transfer money each month to this savings account. Plus, in addition to the standing order, I've quite often transferred various sums of money to the savings account. They phoned me because I'd transferred £500, and told me that they were phoning to enquire where I'd got the money from in the first place. I was rather gobsmacked and told the woman that as I'm retired, the money is from my pension payments that go regularly into my bank current account. I told her that I've been transferring surplus funds of money for years into this savings account so that I get some interest, and the transfers have always been from the same bank current account, so I can't understand why you think that I've now started money laundering. She said that the £500 got flagged up because it was a different sum of money to what I usually transfer, and said that my money transfers may get flagged up again in the future. I ended up withdrawing all my money from that savings account, and invested it elsewhere. That is disgusting how you were treated inside the bank......at least mine was via telephone. It's definitely a mad, mad world, and will probably only get worse.
I bet you have much more fun on the SH. I have a XSR 700 and a VFR1200 crosstourer, but my SH350 scooter puts more smiles on my chops than any of the other two. Awesome scooter 👌
You couldn't be more right. The rapid accelleration of the SH in town traffic makes it great fun. The amount of "premium" cars it sees off from the lights makes it a hoot, especially when it looks like a shopping cart. Great scooter.
Really enjoyed a good watch. Sadly the days of pothole free biking are long gone. The sense of freedom that being out on a bike gives you lives with us for ever. Honda 400F. Cheers pal.
Thanks so much for your kind comments. As you say, pot holes are just a fact of life now. On a motorcycle is the best way to travel. Probably as you are not cocooned in a metal box. Thanks so much for watching.
Nice one Gary all the roads you rode in the Lake District i hiked them with Brian, Ricky and Trevor. In relation to the power station at Sellafield my father William was in charge of putting in all the air ducting systems in the plant before i was even born. Cheers Gary for all your help at Armoy this year. Gixer looking well.✌
I think I prefer riding the motorbike to hiking in the hills there. That was the first time I had been near Sellafield. I'm sure it is an interesting place. Glad I was of help at Armoy. I see you managed to get plenty of content out there.
Hi! Thanks so much for the video. I am going on a Marella discovery cruise around the Med from Palma in a few weeks time. How long does it take to check onto the cruise? We also have a 6am flight and just wondering if there is much of a wait when you get to port? 😊
You'll have a great time. You'll get straight to the ship and the entire boarding process does not take too long. In my experience it'll be between 30 to 45 minutes. Have a wonderful holiday. 😎
Thanks so much for watching the video. The are was great. Plenty happening, especially Bonanza Square, which was busy but not manic. Only 5 minutes walk up the hill. Hill to Bonanza was not to bad but be aware of cardiac hill down to the beach.
