I'm watching repeats of CSI:New York and part of this was at the end. Listening to music to it, I have two feelings:1) my husband being by my side while I fight cancer; and 2) a former boyfriend who committed suicide (I didn't see the signs).
My wife just left me and my son, our family is incomplete now. Hoping to tug on her heart strings enough to bring her back to us, I came here while searching for a song to place behind a slideshow video made of pictures of her and my son over all these years. I don't cry much, no more than any other man, but hearing this song, in this context, I sobbed harder than I've ever sobbed in my life. I think this is the one.
The last time I heard this song I was a young teen. I remember it being played on one of the music channels. Somewhere along the way I lost the name because I was so young when I heard it. As an adult recently my friend said the name silver springs was her favorite FM song. I looked it up and rediscovered this beautiful masterpiece! I was in tears hearing this years later, knowing the story. It hits so much as an adult having been thru years of heartbreak with my ex lover and musician partnership. Now I really feel it the way it was written…
